[People News] Recently, various factions within the CCP have circulated different rumours regarding personnel changes involving Xi Jinping and senior officials, all reflecting a growing dissatisfaction with Xi. The latest reports suggest that the CCP elders have collectively pressured Xi to step down, with him expected to abandon his re-election bid at the upcoming Fourth Plenary Session, and a successor already in place. However, there are contrasting views from outside observers, with some suggesting that Xi could be the last leader of the CCP.
Independent commentator Cai Shenkun disclosed on May 6 via social media that domestic sources indicate there are still several months until the CCP's Fourth Plenary Session. The resolution reached by the elders is that Xi Jinping will officially exit the political arena, relinquishing all power by the latest at the 21st National Congress, and that he will have minimal influence over military affairs.
Additionally, Australian legal scholar Yuan Hongbing recently shared insider information he acquired, noting that three factions within the Chinese political system are actively preparing to challenge Xi Jinping. One faction is led by Hu Yaobang's son, Hu Deping, and Liu Shaoqi's son, Liu Yuan; another is represented by Deng Xiaoping's son, Deng Pufang and Chen Yun's son, Chen Yuan; and the third is an extreme leftist faction adhering to Mao Zedong Thought. These three factions have formed a tacit agreement to undertake political actions aimed at preventing Xi from securing re-election at the 21st National Congress.
Independent commentator Du Zheng wrote in 'Shangbao' that due to the economic crisis in China and the worsening international geopolitical situation, Xi Jinping could face health issues at any moment under immense pressure. His close circle of confidants, each with their own hidden agendas, has long been plotting. Among them, Ding Xuexiang hopes that Xi will leave a will before his 'passing' to allow him to succeed him, similar to how Mao Zedong designated Hua Guofeng as his successor before his death.
Furthermore, former Chinese Communist Party Navy Colonel Yao Cheng recently told The Epoch Times that by the time of the CCP's 20th Central Committee's Fourth Plenary Session, Xi Jinping's position would certainly be untenable, leaving him with only a nominal role. Xi is expected to resign from his posts as General Secretary and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, retaining only a ceremonial role as President, and then step down at the 21st National Congress.
Commentator Tang Jinyuan analysed in his program that these various rumours are actually signals from different factions within the CCP to the outside world. Although each faction has its own narrative, a closer look reveals that these rumours are filled with dissatisfaction towards Xi Jinping, all pointing to the same conclusion: Xi Jinping is no longer capable, his supreme status has been completely lost, and his power has diminished, creating a vacuum.
After the 20th National Congress of the CCP, intense power struggles erupted within Xi's faction, leading to investigations of dozens of senior generals from various military branches and high-ranking officials from the military-industrial complex, including two former Ministers of National Defence, Wei Fenghe and Li Shangfu. Last November, Xi's confidant, Central Military Commission member, and Director of the Political Work Department of the Military Commission, General Miao Hua, was removed from his position; after this year's Two Sessions, Military Commission Vice Chairman He Weidong went missing. Some observers believe that Military Commission Vice Chairman Zhang Youxia is orchestrating the purge of Xi's influence with the backing of CCP elders.
In this context, Tang Jinyuan has previously disclosed that the recent large-scale purge of Xi Jinping's military influence was triggered by the failure of a coup attempt led by Xi Jinping himself.
Recently, retired U.S. Air Force General Blaine Holt stated in an article for Newsweek that the Chinese Communist Party is on the brink of collapse and is in a deadlock, suggesting that Xi Jinping may very well be the last leader of the CCP.
