During the closing ceremony of the Two Sessions, video footage showed that as Xi Jinping was leaving, several Politburo members, including Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) He Weidong, turned around and stood by their seats to watch Xi depart. However, Zhang Youxia remained facing forward, not even glancing back as Xi walked past behind him. (Screenshot from video)
[People News] Xi Jinping's daughter, Xi Mingze, who has typically maintained a low profile, has recently garnered significant attention. On June 4, Xi Jinping hosted a family dinner for Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. Five days later, Belarusian state media, BelTA, disclosed that Xi Mingze and Peng Liyuan also attended the dinner. This marked Xi Mingze's diplomatic debut, which quickly sparked speculation from various quarters. However, just days later, the report was mysteriously deleted, and Xi Mingze seemingly 'disappeared' without a trace. Analysts suggest that this was a move orchestrated by Xi Jinping, who likely requested that Belarus remove the report.
While discussions surrounding Xi Mingze's diplomatic debut were still active, the BelTA report had already been taken down. Although the article link remains searchable on Google, clicking it leads to a '404' error page.
Earlier, BelTA's report on June 4 indicated that Lukashenko and Xi Jinping held a meeting at Zhongnanhai. 'Initially, the two sides will conduct a working meeting in the form of a tea gathering, followed by a one-on-one discussion between the two heads of state. A friendly lunch will then take place.' However, from the video released by BelTA and the photos later published by the Chinese Communist Party, it was evident that Peng Liyuan was absent, and there was no sign of Xi Mingze.
Interestingly, on the 9th, the Belarusian National News Agency (BelTA) reported that First Deputy Prime Minister Snepkov mentioned in a Belarusian television program that both Peng Liyuan and Xi Mingze attended the dinner hosted by Xi Jinping for Lukashenko.
Snopek specifically quoted Xi Jinping during the private segment of their meeting, stating: 'My friend, you and I share a special relationship, so today we will hold a family dinner. Historically, this will be the first time my daughter dines with a foreign leader in such a manner.'
The unexpected appearance of Xi Mingze has sparked widespread speculation. Concurrently, internal briefings from the Russian Kremlin disclosed that from May 25 to the first week of June, Xi Jinping suffered from frequent heart attacks. Doctors have warned that if he attends two more such meetings, he could face a health crisis on-site.
Given Xi Jinping's serious health concerns, there are theories suggesting 'entrusting the country.' He has cultivated a close relationship with Lukashenko, hoping that after his passing, his wife and daughter will have a safe haven.
Additionally, there are theories regarding a 'successor,' claiming that Xi Jinping aims to groom his daughter as his successor.
Another perspective suggests that Xi Jinping's power is diminishing, and his daughter is no longer viewed as a valuable asset, making her public appearances less significant.
As these discussions continue to unfold, the report by BelTA on Xi Mingze's diplomatic debut was curiously removed.
Political commentator Chen Pokong analysed in a YouTube program that the deletion of this report likely resulted from Xi Jinping's intervention with Belarus. He did not foresee that once this news emerged, English reports would circulate among overseas Chinese, who would then relay the information back to China. Many international media outlets interpreted Xi Mingze's appearance and subsequently shared this information domestically, reaching the political system. Xi Jinping was reportedly very displeased with this development.
Chen Pokuang remarked that if it were a positive development, the official media of the Chinese Communist Party would certainly cover it. However, under Cai Qi's leadership, there was no arrangement for Peng Liyuan and Xi Mingze to be in the media spotlight. The news of Xi Mingze's appearance at a family banquet, which circulated back to China, was quite detrimental to Xi Jinping, leading to Belarus removing the report at his request.
Chen Pokuang emphasised that Belarus's decision to delete this news aligns with the old Chinese saying, 'There is no silver here,' which inadvertently reveals that Xi Jinping's time is limited, including his hold on power.
Earlier reports suggested that Xi Jinping had voluntarily offered to resign, seeking a dignified exit. He also insisted that, besides ensuring his own safety, the safety of his family must be guaranteed, particularly for his sister, brothers, and daughter, and that there should be no retaliatory actions against the memorials of his father, Xi Zhongxun. The leaks indicated that Xi Jinping's family was content with the arrangements for his dignified departure, including his mother Qi Xin, wife Peng Liyuan, daughter Xi Zeming, and brother Xi Yuanping, all of whom agreed to this plan.
Xi Mingze, dubbed the mysterious 'Red Princess' by foreign media, has been kept under wraps since Xi Jinping assumed power, with few reports about her and no photos released. Analysts suggest that even during Xi Jinping's peak power, Xi Mingze was closely guarded. Now that Xi Jinping's influence is diminishing, and given the numerous powerful figures he has offended and the countless middle and lower-class citizens he has persecuted, the animosity these individuals feel towards him may also extend to his wife, daughter, and relatives, which represents his greatest nightmare. △
