[People News] After the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, China’s population decreased by at least 400 million people, and the country’s economic development stalled. More alarmingly, toxic vaccines have harmed many people’s health to varying degrees. In addition, various viral outbreaks have continued to emerge one after another. Hospitals in many regions are overcrowded, and the authorities, disregarding people’s lives, continue to tightly conceal the truth. As a result, large numbers of children, the elderly, and young people have died suddenly, making “sudden death” a fear that haunts people day and night.
According to a recent notice from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), respiratory infectious diseases in China remain in a high-incidence season, though overall trending downward. Influenza is at a moderate epidemic level. The positivity rate for respiratory syncytial virus is declining, while rhinovirus, parainfluenza virus, and common coronaviruses remain active at certain levels.
Large Number of “White Lung” Cases Reappear
Mr. Mu, a resident of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, said that sudden deaths are occurring frequently among people around him, including those in their 50s and 60s as well as younger individuals. Most cases are related to lung problems, and people die within a few days of onset. In the past, people were usually bedridden for years before passing away; now, people die very quickly.
Mr. Mu also said that recent temperatures in Hohhot have been around minus 20 degrees Celsius. Many people, both adults and children, have fevers and colds, with symptoms such as coughing, runny noses, and sore throats. Severe cases, including “white lung,” are also common. “Hospitals are packed. There are hardly any people on the streets or in shopping malls—only hospitals are crowded.” These patients’ symptoms are very similar to COVID-19 infection and are quite severe, possibly variants of the virus. Hospitals are treating them as influenza, avoiding mention of COVID-19 and trying not to associate cases with it. “Many people tell me it’s actually COVID. This virus keeps circulating endlessly. It hasn’t stopped in all these years.”
Mr. Zhang, another Hohhot resident, said several of his neighbors—people in their 40s, 50s, and 60s—have died. Such information is blocked from public view, and the CCP’s controls have become even stricter. Major hospitals are now full and can no longer coordinate social insurance coverage. People have to go to community hospitals for treatment and purchase medicine at designated community pharmacies, but medications are often unavailable.
Mr. Zhao from Shanxi also said that local hospitals are very crowded. There are many severe cases—already with “white lung.” Some people in their 40s have died.
Shanghai Residents: Medical Staff and Experts Die Suddenly
Recently, discussions about the younger age trend of sudden deaths have continued to intensify on social media. Netizens from multiple provinces report a new wave of sudden deaths among young people in places such as Inner Mongolia, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Shanxi, and Zhejiang, causing widespread concern. Many people die suddenly without any warning, leaving no time for rescue.
Shanghai, as a center with concentrated medical resources, has in recent years frequently seen reports of sudden deaths among medical personnel. For example, from late 2023 to early 2024, several well-known top-tier (3A) hospitals in Shanghai reported sudden deaths of middle-aged and young medical staff due to illness. Additionally, in Shanghai’s internet finance sector, there have been cases of executives around 40 years old dying suddenly in their offices.
Residents generally question how even Shanghai’s top medical resources have been unable to prevent this “cliff-like” physical collapse, leading many to attribute the cause to latent myocarditis following COVID-19 infection.
Mr. Han, a Shanghai resident, told The Epoch Times that there have recently been many sudden deaths, including doctors and experts. As for the causes, he said they should be related to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the authorities no longer mention COVID-19.
“Suddenly Disappearing” Without Warning
Mr. Wang, a resident of Baotou, Inner Mongolia, said that many people around him have died suddenly, and the victims are getting younger—people in their 40s suddenly passing away without explanation. This situation is far more frequent than before. He said, “A few days ago, I heard about a young man, 33 years old, who had just returned from military service. He drove to buy groceries for his elderly family members. As he was putting the groceries into the trunk, he collapsed and died. The ambulance came, but he couldn’t be saved.”
Mr. Liu from Wuxi, Jiangsu, said that over the past two years, a large number of people around him have died, which is very abnormal. Especially this winter, there have been many sudden deaths, including people aged 48, 35, and over 50. There were no obvious health problems in daily life. People speculate that it may be related to COVID-19 infection or COVID-19 vaccines.
Ms. Xiang, a villager from Jinhua, Zhejiang, also described how people keep talking about others dying suddenly for no apparent reason. She has heard of such cases in her village and neighboring villages. Among people she knows, someone in their 50s suddenly passed away without even time for rescue. This person had appeared to be in good health.
Many sudden death cases exposed online share the characteristics of being “young and physically fit.” For example, in early 2022, a 28-year-old engineer at ByteDance died suddenly in a gym; a 22-year-old employee at Pinduoduo also passed away suddenly. In many such cases, the public speculates that they may be related to “latent myocarditis” following COVID-19 infection.
On February 20, a Weibo blogger with 139,000 followers, “Zhu Xinbao 2026,” posted expressing concern over the “frequent occurrence of sudden deaths.”
The post stated that discussions about sudden deaths among young people have been increasing recently, and many victims had no symptoms beforehand. More alarmingly, 80% of sudden death victims reportedly show warning signs within one month prior to onset. △
