[People News] On September 21, over 300 Falun Gong practitioners held an event in Jeju Island, South Korea, to showcase the beauty of Falun Dafa and to support the 450 million Chinese people who have withdrawn from the CCP’s Party, Youth League, and Young Pioneers organizations (referred to collectively as “three withdrawals” or tuidang). Local residents and Chinese living in Korea expressed their praise.
According to a report from Jeju by Dajiyuan reporter Zheng Xiangmei, in November 2004, The Dajiyuan published the editorial series Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, which sparked the wave of “three withdrawals.” As of September 21 this year, according to the Dajiyuan Tuidang website, 452,177,454 Chinese people have chosen to quit the CCP.
Jeju citizen: Falun Gong practitioners are a group of brave people
At 12:30 p.m. on the 21st, Falun Gong practitioners from various parts of Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam gathered at “Samsam Park” near Jeju City Hall. Around 1:10 p.m., as peaceful music played, practitioners demonstrated Falun Gong exercises inside the park and along the shaded main roads outside. Along the tree-lined roads outside the park, every 2–3 meters stood practitioners holding large bilingual banners in Chinese and Korean, such as “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” and “Return to tradition, humanity will find a way out.”

A local resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said upon seeing the scene:
“As early as 1999, I heard that Master Li Hongzhi’s Falun Gong could make people physically healthy and spiritually pure. I also heard that many high-ranking officials, including members of the CCP’s Standing Committee, were practicing at that time. But due to the CCP’s persecution, many Falun Gong practitioners were ‘disappeared.’ This persecution has continued for over twenty years and still continues today.”
He added that seeing Falun Gong practitioners, despite the brutal persecution, continuing to expose the CCP’s crimes worldwide and persuading Chinese people to quit the CCP organizations, “Falun Gong practitioners are a group of brave people.”
“A country should respect individual freedom to the greatest extent. If personal religious beliefs do not cause any harm to the state or others, then there is no problem,” he said.
At 3 p.m., the parade set off from Samsam Park, led by the Tian Guo Marching Band of more than 100 members in two formations. Behind them followed the banner procession, the exercise demonstration team, the formation celebrating 450 million withdrawals, and finally a waist drum troupe dressed in traditional Shaanxi clothing.
The parade passed by tourist hotspots such as Lotte Duty-Free Shop and Shilla Duty-Free Shop, as well as nearby streets. Many young tourists took out their phones to record the parade, while some Chinese people watched from convenience store windows. Passersby along the route accepted small lotus ornaments, the bilingual (Chinese and Korean) Dajiyuan special issue “450 Million Chinese Quit the CCP,” and Falun Gong truth pamphlets. Local Korean shopkeepers also stood at the roadside to watch.
Two women clothing shop owners stood at their doorway for a long time watching. After learning the reason for the parade, they said this was the first time they had seen such a parade in Jeju Island and found it very moving. Another Korean man said:
“The parade is very good. This is the first time I’ve heard that so many people have quit the CCP. I hope such a movement can truly change the situation in China.”

Elderly local resident Kim Hak-il, who helps his family run a restaurant in retirement, told reporters with a smile:
“Using an orderly parade to express the demand to dismantle the CCP is very good. Every part, including the band’s music, was very good. I hope more such events will be held in the future.”
He added that when speaking of communist rule, one naturally thinks of North Korea. The division of the Korean Peninsula is precisely the result of communist aggression, so he agreed with the parade’s message of “dismantling the CCP.”
Kim Hak-il said this was his first time hearing about Falun Gong and the “three withdrawals,” and he would carefully read the materials he received that day.
Taiwanese Engineer: Spreading the Truth by Playing Trombone
Chi-sheng Chang, an engineer at ASE Semiconductor in Taiwan, came to Jeju Island for the weekend to join the parade as a trombone player in the Tian Guo Marching Band. He said:
“As Falun Dafa practitioners, we cultivate based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. We hope to bring this message to friends and compatriots in mainland China, so they can truly recognize the beauty of Falun Dafa instead of being deceived by the CCP’s lies.”

Chang has played trombone in the Tian Guo Marching Band for six years. This was his first time participating in an event in Korea. He said:
“Band members practice diligently and perform with full spirit, aiming to do their best in every parade. Members from around the world express the same message based on their understanding of Falun Dafa’s principles. That’s why when we came to Korea, we could quickly coordinate and perform together with the local band.”
He concluded:
“Coming to Korea, I found that the local culture is very similar to Taiwan. Many Koreans can more easily understand the truth about Falun Dafa. I hope more locals can come to know its beauty through this opportunity.”
Waist Drum Troupe Members: Showcasing Chinese Tradition, Delivering a Beautiful Message
Falun Gong practitioners Liu Hong and Li Yuchun, both originally from mainland China and now living in Korea, joined the parade as members of the waist drum troupe.

Liu Hong said:
“By participating today, I mainly wanted to showcase the spirit of Chinese Falun Dafa practitioners and let both Chinese people and the international community see that we are a completely peaceful and rational group, not what the CCP portrays. The costumes and performance of the waist drum troupe showcase China’s 5,000-year culture, as well as the pure hearts and aspirations of Falun Dafa practitioners.”
Li Yuchun, beside her, told reporters she came to Korea in 2011 and joined the waist drum troupe the following year. She often persuades Chinese people to quit the CCP. Over the years, many Chinese have gone from misunderstanding to awakening.
“At first people thought quitting the CCP meant being unpatriotic, but now 450 million people have done it. That shows more and more Chinese are awakening and distinguishing good from evil.”
She added that although some, influenced by CCP indoctrination and so-called “patriotic education,” still dare not learn the truth about Falun Gong even after going abroad, she sincerely hopes “Chinese people will soon distance themselves from the atheist Party that advocates lies, evil, and struggle, and together walk toward a bright future.”
Chinese in Korea Support the 450 Million Withdrawals
Some Chinese residents in Korea, though not present at the event, expressed their support in written interviews.
One young Chinese living in Korea wrote:
“450 million Chinese quitting the CCP is of great significance. This is without doubt an unprecedented feat, completely different from ordinary anti-CCP protests. The withdrawal statements of 450 million people are not just a shocking number, but a torrent of people breaking free from brainwashing and gradually awakening—and this torrent is growing stronger. I firmly believe it will eventually topple the giant evil of the CCP. Therefore, I think such a feat must continue, and urgently needs more support and protection.”
Several other Chinese in Korea wrote:
“450 million people quitting the CCP is an achievement highly worth welcoming. From the most direct perspective, the frequent protests inside China show the people’s deep dissatisfaction with the Party. Even under increasingly strict media and speech controls, these signs continue to appear. We sincerely thank The Dajiyuan for its efforts and hope they will continue to be a messenger of good news and a voice for free Chinese people.”
