Li Lianjie recently posted a video to prove that he did not undergo heart surgery, but the scar from his previous neck tumour removal has also seemingly vanished. His right wrist shows skin-colored wrinkles resembling cuffs, and the wrinkles on his neck appear unnatural, leading netizens to suspect that he is wearing artificial skin. [People News] Following the emergence of the Yu Menglong case, public attention has shifted to whether other missing celebrities have faced similar misfortunes. Netizens discovered that Qiu Feng, a Chinese Shaolin monk, was rumoured to have had his organs transplanted, with further speculation suggesting that the once seriously ill martial arts star Li Lianjie had received a heart transplant from Qiu Feng. However, in a recent video, Li Lianjie exposed his upper body in his garden, attempting to dispel these rumours, but netizens remarked that it only made him look more suspicious.
In the video, Li Lianjie removes his shirt, stretches on the grass, warms up by the pool, and then swims. He even turns around in front of the camera to show that he has no visible scars, aiming to prove that he did not receive a heart transplant from Qiu Feng.
However, observant netizens pointed out several inconsistencies. Firstly, his upper body skin appears unnaturally smooth, with no wrinkles, which seems implausible for a martial arts actor who has spent decades filming action scenes and should have some scars. Secondly, when he raises his arms, netizens noted that he has "no armpit hair," which is unusual for an adult male. Lastly, they observed what appeared to be seams of artificial skin on Li Lianjie's right wrist, leading to suspicions that he was wearing artificial skin to appear on camera.

In reaction, netizens pointed out that his actions were akin to 'hiding silver in this place', with comments such as, 'When he touches the dog, it’s clearly visible that he’s wearing fake skin. Why wear fake skin? Is he afraid people will see the scars from the heart transplant?' and 'The more he tries to prove it, the more it suggests he really used someone else's heart.' They noted, 'The loopholes and flaws are very obvious; it feels like unnecessary embellishment, making it hard to justify his claims,' and 'This is a method that only draws more attention to the cover-up.' Some netizens even sarcastically asked, 'How much does the fake skin on his body cost? Is it disposable or reusable?' This indicates that after Li Lianjie filmed the video, he became even less credible.
Li Lianjie was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in 2013, and his condition gradually deteriorated, leading to heart issues, and at one point, he required a wheelchair for mobility. His grey complexion, numerous age spots, and sagging skin contributed to a look filled with dark energy and resentment, with his prominent eyes giving him a peculiar expression, prompting netizens to describe him as having the appearance of someone on the verge of being buried. In August of this year, Li Lianjie disclosed that he was hospitalised for the removal of two small tumours, and after a period of recovery, he made a remarkable recovery, even performing a 'Kung Fu dance' at public events.
However, rumours are circulating online suggesting that Jet Li's (Li Lianjie) recovery is due to a heart transplant. In China, over 300 hospitals are involved in organ transplantation, and it is not uncommon for young people to enter hospitals for minor issues only to have their organs removed. Following the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong that began in July 1999, various forms of torture were inflicted on practitioners, including organ harvesting from living individuals. This practice later extended to the general public. In a video, Jet Li showcased his body without any surgical scars, clearly attempting to dispel rumours, but the numerous inconsistencies only added to the controversy.
Moreover, Jet Li's comments in the video seemed to carry deeper meanings, prompting netizens to speculate. He stated, 'To live in this era, one must have their own analysis; following others' public opinion can be troublesome. Although I do not know that friend, I hope we do not exploit others' misfortunes for hype. I hope everyone stays healthy, and having independent thinking is the most important.'
Some netizens noted that Jet Li's act of 'disrobing to clear his name,' along with his remarks, clearly suggests he wants people not to believe in rumours. What is he trying to conceal? Who is most fearful of the truth about organ harvesting being revealed? It is undoubtedly the CCP authorities behind the persecution of individuals like Menglong and Qiufeng. Is Jet Li's public denial aimed at whitewashing the CCP?
