Venezuela and Iran Undergo Drastic Changes; Chinese Citizens Call for Nationwide Petition to Overthrow the CCP

[People News] At the very beginning of the 2026 New Year, the United States’ arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, along with dramatic changes in the situation in Iran, has drawn intense attention from the international community and greatly encouraged Chinese citizens as well. Some have proposed a nationwide petition to hasten the collapse of the CCP’s tyrannical rule.

According to The Dajiyuan, Chinese dissident Wang Jie (pseudonym) said that the drastic changes that have recently taken place in Iran and Venezuela—two totalitarian countries—are a major blow to regimes such as the CCP and North Korea that have long exercised high-pressure rule. “I felt extremely uplifted when I saw these two pieces of news. I really didn’t expect that the Iranian people, living under a dictatorial and repressive regime, would actually move ahead of the Chinese people when it comes to overthrowing tyranny. But this undoubtedly gives the Chinese people tremendous motivation and encouragement.”

She believes that no matter how brutal a regime is, it is still a paper tiger and cannot withstand resistance and uprising by the people. She called on the Chinese people to unite and put an early end to the CCP’s tyrannical rule. “The Chinese people are not afraid of hardship; what they fear most is having no hope. I suggest that those of us overseas—Chinese groups and individuals who have suffered persecution by the CCP—take the lead in launching a signature campaign to dismantle the CCP. Collective signatures are also a form of public opinion; they are a silent form of resistance and strength. A change of regime in Communist China is only a matter of time.”

Mainland observer Wei Ming (pseudonym) said that the living situation of ordinary people on the mainland is now extremely difficult, with no way out. Forced into desperation, people can only rise up in resistance. “If severe social problems are not effectively resolved, they will only grow more serious. In the end, just like Iran and Venezuela, larger resistance will inevitably erupt sooner or later. Victimized people will not endure indefinitely.”

He pointed out that overthrowing the CCP’s tyrannical rule ultimately depends on the strength of the Chinese people themselves—on their own awakening and their own struggle. The downfall of the Communist Party is only a matter of time. “External forces are one factor in changing one’s situation, but the most important thing is still for the Chinese people themselves to become aware of their rights and to recognize the direction of their struggle.”

Wei Ming said that hearing news of the drastic changes in Iran and Venezuela made him feel encouraged, noting that humanity’s pursuit of democracy and freedom is irresistible. “Demanding democracy and demanding that society improve and perfect mechanisms of freedom and democracy—this is irresistible. Everyone must walk this path. This is a common demand of humanity, for social progress, for the good of society.”

Mainland citizen Zhou Mei (pseudonym) said, “After hearing the news about Venezuela, we are all hoping that (mainland China) will be liberated as soon as possible.” “The Communist Party commits too many injustices and is bound to destroy itself, provoking the anger of both heaven and the people. Now the economy is depressed, and even making a living is difficult for ordinary people. There is no one who supports it.”

She hopes that the Chinese people will unite, overthrow the CCP’s tyrannical rule as soon as possible, and live a life of freedom and democracy. △
