[People News] Recently, the former host of CCTV, Jing Yidan, was reported by mainland media to have died, which has drawn significant public attention. According to sources familiar with the matter, she is believed to have died from a brain hemorrhage caused by a ruptured brain tumor after more than a month of emergency treatment.

The Dajiyuan reports that the Chinese Communist Party has historically been reluctant to publicly disclose the specific causes of death for CCTV hosts, reporters, and other media personnel, and as such, this information has not yet been officially confirmed.

Sources confirm the news of her death, and mainland media have followed up with reports.

According to Sohu Entertainment, on the evening of July 23, a post on a social media platform caught the attention of many netizens. Mao Daqing hinted at Jing Yidan's death!

Reports indicate that Mao Daqing is not just an ordinary individual; he is the founder of Ucommune and a former senior vice president of Vanke Group.

Informed sources confirmed the news to Sohu Entertainment. They revealed that Jing Yidan suffered a brain hemorrhage while conducting teaching work in Anhui, with the cause being a ruptured brain vessel and tumor. After receiving emergency treatment on-site, she was transferred to Beijing for further care, relying on a ventilator to sustain her life for over a month before ultimately passing away. Media outlets such as Sina and Netease later followed up with their own reports.

Public records indicate that Jing Yidan, born in 1955 in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, began her career at China Central Television (CCTV) in 1988. By the end of 1989, she had become the host of CCTV's 'Economic Half Hour.' In 1995, she joined the program 'Focus Interview,' and the following year, she started hosting 'Eastern Time and Space.' Jing Yidan officially retired on April 30, 2015, after recording that day's episode of 'Focus Interview.' In July of the same year, she was appointed as the director of the Professional Committee of Hosts at the China Television Artists Association. In 2021, she took on the role of vice president at the Institute of Civilization and Communication at Zhejiang University City College. Chen Weiyu: Jing Yidan has finally been claimed by the King of Hell!

On July 24, independent commentator Chen Weiyu took to social media to harshly criticize Jing Yidan for her past hosting of related programs.

Chen Weiyu pointed out that in May 2002, Jing Yidan produced a segment titled 'A Self-Narration of a Falun Gong Self-Immolation Victim' on 'Focus Interview,' which she described as aiding the persecution and falsely accusing Falun Gong, filled with lies that are truly disheartening. Falun Gong teaches that killing and suicide are grave sins, making self-immolation impossible. The subsequent film 'Fake Fire' also revealed CCTV's poor fabrication techniques.

She further remarked, 'People act, and heaven observes. The mouthpiece of that time, Luo Jing, and the fabricator Chen Ying have already been taken away, having succumbed to cancer at a young age. Now, it is finally Jing Yidan's turn.'

According to incomplete statistics from International Investigation, from July 21, 1999, to the end of 2005, 'Focus Interview' aired a total of 102 episodes that slandered Falun Gong. Notably, 70 of these episodes were broadcast in the more than five months from July 20, 1999, to the end of that year.

Reports suggest that the so-called Tiananmen self-immolation incident was orchestrated by Luo Gan, the former Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee of the Communist Party, with Li Dongsheng, the former Deputy Director of CCTV and Director of the '610 Office', responsible for planning the coverage, in a conspiracy to frame Falun Gong. The International Education Development Organization has long classified the 'Tiananmen Self-Immolation Hoax' as 'a government-directed act of state terrorism'. According to the official website of CCTV, Jing Yidan has been a host of the program "Focus Interview" on China Central Television, where she participated in and hosted several episodes that criticized and reported on Falun Gong. This includes an interview with Wang Jindong, a figure associated with the 2001 Tiananmen self-immolation incident. However, critics argue that this incident was a "self-immolation hoax" orchestrated and directed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to discredit Falun Gong and incite public hatred. In July 1999, former CCP leader Jiang Zemin initiated a comprehensive crackdown on the spiritual group Falun Gong. Since then, "Focus Interview" has been instrumental in slandering Falun Gong, becoming a key focus of CCTV's agenda. The program has also shifted its role from "public opinion supervision" to that of a "public opinion enforcer."
