Viral Video of Actor Yu Menglong’s Alleged Screams Sparks Outcry — Police Suspected of Taking Bribes to Cover Up the Truth

[People News] In recent days, the mysterious death of mainland actor Yu Menglong has exploded across social media and the internet. Although his studio issued a statement on September 11 claiming that “police have ruled out criminal suspicion,” nearly all public opinion insists: Yu Menglong was killed by others.

On September 13, Chinese writer Luban wrote: “I can say with 100% certainty that Yu Menglong was murdered. Those dismissing it as a conspiracy theory are just afraid the truth will spread further — hiding behind a shameless facade!” He further revealed that Yu had allegedly been targeted by a powerful figure, then set up by friends, drugged, and assaulted. “Whether Yu later jumped to his death because of this, or was already killed inside the room, remains unclear,” he added. Some even claim that the supposed “fall” was staged afterwards.

Reportedly, also on September 13, many netizens in mainland China saw a viral video on WeChat — a dark clip showing someone suspected to be Yu hanging upside-down at a window, screaming. The voice seemed to say: “I’ve followed the rules since I was young. Even if you kill me, I won’t bow to your threats…” Allegedly, the video was filmed by a resident in the opposite building.

Fans noted the voice strongly resembled Yu Menglong’s. Many more were horrified, concluding that even if it wasn’t Yu, it must have been some other victim. Netizens began asking: Why didn’t the police intervene immediately?

Based on Luban’s claims, insider leaks, and netizens’ analysis, Yu’s death is riddled with suspicious points — all pointing away from suicide. Some of the main doubts include:

  1. Yu suffered from acrophobia (fear of heights). How could such a person willingly jump?

  2. He had important work scheduled for the next day, and his career was on the rise. Why would he end his life?

  3. A woman claiming to be Yu’s cousin said he had already obtained a visa and was about to go to France for an event. Would someone with such plans choose suicide?

  4. If it were suicide, why jump at a friend’s house? Reports say it was screenwriter Jiguangguang’s home — why has he remained silent?

  5. Why jump from the fifth floor — a height that might not even guarantee death?

  6. Why did surveillance cameras suddenly malfunction that day?

  7. Why were there visible scratch marks on the window? Whose were they? Did the police check?

  8. Is the viral scream video authentic? Did police conduct voiceprint analysis?

  9. Why was the protective wire netting cut open? When, and by whom? Did police investigate?

  10. Did Yu fall head-first? How many injuries did he have? Was he assaulted before his death? Why haven’t the police disclosed?

  11. Why were two expensive watches belonging to his “friends” found in his pocket? Who put them there, and why?

  12. As an only child of a single mother, why would he leave no note? This defies logic.

  13. Who exactly was present at the drinking party that night? Was there a powerful industry figure, as rumoured? Why does the police publish the names?

  14. Did police review Yu’s phone call records?

  15. A Weibo post from someone claiming to be Yu’s cousin said: Yu’s agent stated he barely knew those at the party; after the incident, only police cars came, not ambulances; Yu was in good health, had many opportunities, no bad habits, no depression, and no debts. Then why did those at the party call themselves his “friends”? Who invited Yu?

  16. That same “cousin” revealed that the studio’s statement citing “no criminal suspicion” was not written by them — it was dictated by police at the station, forcing them to post it. This was before an autopsy or family confirmation. Wasn’t the announcement suspiciously rushed?

Clearly, even the police involved knew this was irregular, since the statement wasn’t issued officially by the police themselves. Such unprofessional behaviour raises suspicions of bribery.

All these doubts show that Yu Menglong’s death hides a deep black curtain. His strange end highlights how murky and corrupt the mainland entertainment world is. Handsome but backgroundless actors and actresses are often forced to “pay a price” to gain resources or rise to fame; otherwise, they are sidelined, forced out, or even entrapped and destroyed like Yu.

Luban added: “No one knows how many attractive stars like Yu have been violated in this way — some have even died from it already.” Many netizens directly compared his case to actor Qiao Renliang, who also fell to his death years ago, and whom they also believe was murdered.

For now, it remains unclear whether mounting public pressure will force the Chinese police to uncover the truth. In reality, this depends on how powerful the figure behind Yu’s death is and how much money they are willing to spend to silence the case.

Everyone knows that the CCP police have a long record of disregarding human life. Covering up the death of a powerless actor in exchange for money and favours would not be difficult. If the CCP leadership is indifferent to losing more public trust, then injustice will likely prevail. As for the wronged Yu Menglong, whether he petitions King Yama in the underworld to take the lives of those who harmed him, that may be seen in the fate of the perpetrators. For retribution never fails to arrive.
