[People News] On September 13, “World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong” (WOIPFG) released an investigation report “Investigation: Behind the Surge of Organ Transplants from Chinese Children and Infants”, exposing the abnormal phenomenon of the sharp increase in child and infant organ transplants in China, the abundance of donors, and the short waiting times, as well as investigating and analyzing the sources of such organs.
According to a report by Dajiyuan journalist Li Jiesi, WOIPFG (full name: World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong) pointed out that after Jiang Zemin launched the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999, a large number of Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to live organ harvesting. At the same time, China’s organ transplant industry experienced explosive growth, forming a nationwide, enormous live organ harvesting industrial chain. Since 2017, children’s organ transplant surgeries in China have advanced rapidly, with pediatric liver transplants surpassing the U.S. to become the highest in the world.
The investigation report revealed the abnormal phenomena in children’s organ transplants from multiple aspects: the volume of child organ transplants is huge. For example, Renji Hospital, affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, claimed its cumulative pediatric liver transplants exceeded 3,000 cases, boasting that its “annual volume ranks first in the world.”
Waiting times for child organs are extremely short, with multiple surgeries occurring on the same day. Wuhan Union Hospital, regarded as a leader in heart transplants, performed over 100 pediatric heart transplants, with instances of three child organ transplants on the same day — something extremely rare internationally. There is an oversupply of child donors. The First Hospital of Jilin University even offered free promotions for pediatric liver transplants. Extremely low-weight or extremely young infant organs were transplanted into adults to expand the donor pool. The warm ischemia time for organ removal was zero or extremely short, indicating the donors were still alive.
Why are children’s and infants’ organs used in transplant surgeries? The investigation report shows that such organs have strong regenerative capacity; for example, kidneys can grow to near adult size after 6 to 9 months. Infant organs contain stem cells and have lower rejection rates for recipients, which can reduce or eliminate the need for immunosuppressants. Furthermore, it increases the overall number of available organ donors.
In reference to the topic of “immortality,” or “living to 150 years,” discussed by Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin during the “September 3rd Military Parade,” and the “981 Chief Health Project” launched by the PLA General Hospital (301 Hospital) in 2005, WOIPFG believes that “turning to infant and child organ sources is very likely an effort toward achieving the CCP high-ranking officials’ goal of ‘living to 150.’”
In 2023, WOIPFG confirmed through telephone investigations that using children’s organs for adult transplants had already become common in many hospitals across mainland China. In response to the investigator’s question — “Can children’s organs be used for adult transplants?” — Feng Gang, deputy chief physician at the Transplant Center of Tianjin First Central Hospital and an outpatient specialist, said: “Yes, of course.” When asked, “What ages of children?” he replied: “All kinds, from a few months old to a few years old.”
During the investigation, WOIPFG found some infants were extremely young. According to mainland media reports, the youngest infant organ donor in Zhejiang Province was only 4 days old at birth. In Anhui Province, one infant donor was only 10 days old at birth. There were also newborns, premature babies, or babies subjected to “forced premature birth.”
So where do child and infant donors come from? WOIPFG answered this with multiple examples.
Since the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners began more than 20 years ago, the CCP has been “killing on demand” to harvest organs from Falun Gong practitioners. Zheng Zhi, a doctor who interned in the Urology Department at Shenyang Military General Hospital in 1994, revealed to Kan Zhongguo (Secret China) that in 2005, he heard from a relative working near a member of the Politburo Standing Committee in Beijing that the underground backyard of the Hubei Provincial Public Security Department (in Wuhan) was filled with detained Falun Gong practitioners (including adults and children), all prepared as an organ bank.
Zheng also cited an example from the late 1990s of an organ taken from a newborn in a Shenyang hospital. An official from the Ministry of Ordnance Industry stationed in Liaoning had a failing liver. The hospital’s obstetrics department conducted an examination on a newborn in advance and told the mother her baby had died. Then the obstetrics and surgery departments cooperated to perform a liver transplant for that official, who lived for at least another ten years.
The CCP’s crime of “killing on demand” has already begun eroding normal society. In March 2025, it was exposed that Chinese criminal groups were luring Thai women abroad for surrogacy and forced egg harvesting. Some who escaped were still hunted down, because the fetus in their wombs had already been reserved as “spare organs.” Some young women became targets of human trafficking groups — their eggs harvested and sold, test-tube babies created and then resold to third countries.
Luo Shuaiyu, a medical intern in the Transplant Department at the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, was asked to find 12 child donors for transplant and research. After he refused, he mysteriously fell to his death. From Luo’s computer and phone, his father recovered a large number of files and recordings collected over three years exposing the hospital’s dark secrets about organ harvesting.
Among the cases compiled by Luo’s family were the following two: One “organ donor” was an 11-year-old girl named “Wu Mouhong” (phonetic), who was sent by her “father” to the “white house” (hospital) and was classified as “brain dead.” The person who signed the consent was surnamed “Xie” (phonetic), not Wu. The family questioned whether this person was really the girl’s father.
Another child “organ donor” had both hospital admission and donation reasons listed as “brain death.” The home address on the file was shockingly listed as “Hatzi Station” (a police station).
WOIPFG pointed out: China’s child and infant organ transplants are expanding rapidly, but the CCP shows absolutely no transparency in public safety governance. A great deal of truth remains hidden. “Only when the child organ supply chain can be independently reviewed item by item by a third party will commercialization and large-scale operations not conflict with the bottom line of morality and ethics, and only then can the crimes of illegal trafficking and abuse of children’s and infants’ organs in China be stopped.” △
