[People News] On September 29, overseas journalist Jiang Wangzheng revealed that Wang Xiaohong, the current Minister of Public Security of the Communist Party of China, is suffering from throat cancer and is in the second stage of the illness, with expectations of being replaced after the Fourth Plenary Session.

He elaborated that within the Communist Party of China, the understanding of cancer staging is divided into three phases for each of the first, second, and third stages (early, middle, and late). In the first stage, if a senior official becomes ill, they are typically not considered for replacement immediately; however, once they reach the second stage, leadership begins to formulate replacement plans. According to Jiang, Wang Xiaohong may be removed from his position during the Fourth Plenary Session.

Jiang Wangzheng also mentioned that this information has been concurrently received by the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, suggesting it is relatively credible.

Previously, the Ministry of Public Security has seen frequent personnel changes. On July 9, Yang Weilin was appointed as Deputy Minister of Public Security. On July 21, Ling Zhifeng, a member of the Party Committee and Director of the Political Department, was promoted to Deputy Minister of Public Security and Director of the Special Police Bureau. Jiang Wangzheng disclosed that Ling Zhifeng is married to the sister of Cai Qi, who is divorced, establishing a familial connection. The rivalry between Ling Zhifeng and Wang Xiaohong is intense, and Ling may be poised to succeed him.

Currently, the nine senior officials at the Ministry of Public Security include Minister Wang Xiaohong, Executive Deputy Minister Qi Yanjun, Discipline Inspection Secretary Ren Airong, and Deputy Ministers Xu Datong, Wang Zhizhong, Ling Zhifeng, Yue Xiuhu (Counter-Terrorism Commissioner), Jia Lijun, and Yang Weilin.

Notably, Wang Xiaohong has also displayed unusual behaviour in recent months. He has not only pledged loyalty to Xi Jinping but has also engaged in several

Wang Xiaohong is rumoured to be a key figure in Xi Jinping's faction, overseeing the Special Police Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, which is directly responsible for the security of national leaders, important foreign guests, and major state events. If he is dismissed due to illness, it would indicate that Xi's most trusted aide is about to be replaced, putting Xi's safety in the hands of Cai Qi.

Earlier, Jiang Wangzheng revealed that Li Qiang is set to become Xi's 'crown prince', with Shi Taifeng appointed as the Minister of the Organisation Department, directly reporting to Li Qiang. Recently, at the United Nations General Assembly, Li Qiang made a prominent speech, and even if he becomes Xi's secretary, foreign media view him as the most accessible high-ranking official in the Communist Party, likely to act as a liaison between the outside world and Xi Jinping in the future.

Jiang Wangzheng also disclosed that at the upcoming Fourth Plenary Session, Chen Yixin, the Minister of State Security, will retire due to age, with early reports indicating that his successor will be Hu Changsheng, the Secretary of the Gansu Provincial Committee.

Recently, during the visit of the North Korean Foreign Minister to China, Zhao Lijian made a sudden appearance, and media personality Chen Pokuang predicts that he is poised to return as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and accompany Xi Jinping on a visit to North Korea.

As the Fourth Plenary Session approaches, the political landscape is fraught with tension, and internal conflicts within the Communist Party are fierce, suggesting that more significant developments may be on the horizon.
