[People News] On October 4, the Ukrainian national news agency Ukrinform cited a senior Ukrainian intelligence official, stating that Beijing is providing intelligence to Russia to help Moscow conduct missile strikes more effectively within Ukraine.
According to Reuters, Oleh Alexandrov, an official of the Ukrainian Foreign Intelligence Service, told Ukrinform that the Chinese Communist Party is transmitting satellite intelligence to Russia to identify strike targets, including facilities with foreign investment.
Alexandrov said, “There are indications that Russia and Beijing are engaged in extensive cooperation in satellite reconnaissance over Ukrainian territory, aimed at identifying and further locking in strategic targets for strikes.”
He added: “As we have observed in recent months, some of these targets belong to foreign-invested enterprises.”
Earlier, the Telegram channel Legitimny cited sources reporting that China is transmitting intelligence data to Russia via its satellites. The channel noted that Russia’s intelligence capabilities have significantly improved recently, enabling the Russian armed forces to carry out large-scale attacks on Kyiv regime military facilities.
The report further stated that one of the targets of these attacks—the Ivano-Frankivsk International Airport—was recently expanded for drone production and stored F-16 missiles. Russian forces also attacked facilities within military-industrial complexes and logistical support installations. Without high-quality intelligence, no one would attack such targets. This fact indirectly confirms that Beijing is indeed transmitting information to Moscow via its satellites.
President Zelensky and local officials previously stated that in August, Russia launched missile strikes on Ukraine’s western Zakarpattia region, hitting a home appliance factory invested in by a U.S. company, injuring 15 people.
Zelensky also pointed out in April that the Chinese Communist Party is providing weapons and gunpowder to Russia, claiming Ukrainian intelligence indicates that China is producing weapons within Russian territory. The Chinese Foreign Ministry firmly denied this, stating that China has never provided lethal weapons to any party in the conflict and strongly opposes baseless accusations and political manipulation.△
