[People News] On October 17 the CCP Ministry of National Defense announced that 9 full generals had been expelled from the Party and from the military. One day later, online messages circulated saying that another batch of commanders would soon be announced as having fallen, including Equipment Development Minister Xu Xueqiang and 4 other full generals, as well as 9 lieutenant generals and 15 major generals. At the same time, many videos circulating online show large numbers of military vehicles and armored vehicles on highways in several provinces, and many netizens exclaimed: is this going to be a war?

According to independent commentator Cai Shenkun’s October 18 disclosure, PLA commanders will be annihilated in groups. Following the official announcement of 9 full generals, another 4 incumbent full generals have fallen; they are: Equipment Development Minister Xu Xueqiang, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Joint Staff Department Xu Qiling, Rocket Force Political Commissar Xu Xisheng, and National Defense University President Xiao Tianliang. In addition, 9 lieutenant generals and 15 major generals have been dismissed, including former Director of the Military Office and current Political Commissar of the National Defense University Zhong Shaojun.

Cai Shenkun stated, “My sources indicate that there are still over a hundred generals lined up behind them, still under investigation. The so-called Xi faction formed after the 20th Party Congress has basically been wiped out.”

Cai Shenkun also revealed that reliable information indicates that He Weidong and He Hongjun have both already died. He Weidong is said to have died suddenly of heart disease because his health was poor — he had previously had a kidney transplant. He Hongjun committed suicide; he used to be a subordinate of Jia Ting’an, former deputy director of the Central Military Commission’s Political Work Department, a protege cultivated during Jiang Zemin’s era.

The aforementioned reports have not yet been confirmed by official sources.

Cai Shenkun further revealed that, according to internal notices transmitted by CCP deputy-military-level officials and above, the nine full generals announced on the 17th as being expelled from the Party and the military — including He Weidong, Miao Hua and others — were convicted of being an anti-Party clique, not of the so-called corruption issues. Corruption was only publicly cited. Therefore this purge is an all-round purge.

Previously there were already reports of other generals under investigation but not yet publicly announced; these include Eastern Theater Command Political Commissar Liu Qingsong, Western Theater Command Commander Wang Haijiang, Northern Theater Command Commander Huang Ming, Central Theater Command Commander Wang Qiang, Central Theater Command Political Commissar Xu Deqing, former Army Commander Han Weiguo, former Navy Political Commissar Qin Shengxiang, CMC Political and Legal Affairs Commission Secretary Wang Renhua, and Armed Police Political Commissar Zhang Hongbing. These full generals were all personally promoted by Xi Jinping.

It is evident the major purge within the military is clearly developing in the direction of eradicating Xi factional forces.

Many Chinese netizens commented on X: “Is this a group annihilation?” “How can you conquer Taiwan after wiping everyone out like this?” “The military would be better off uniting to remove Xi Jinping, so we don't have to live in constant fear.”

X user “Derun Media” said: “The Communist bandits are very likely to create momentum and launch a Taiwan Strait war to cover up economic decline; covering domestic contradictions is a sign of having run out of tricks. But no matter how they stir things up, we shouldn’t fall for it — expose them and expose their crimes so they have no market to harm the people.”

Meanwhile, on October 17 “Derun Media” posted some videos filmed by Chinese netizens on October 16 showing that highways in several Chinese provinces were crowded with a large number of military vehicles and armored vehicles, and numerous military helicopters were circling in the sky. “Derun Media” posted: “Is S3 about to start? CCTV urgently called for preparation of emergency supplies; the railways and expressways are filled with armored vehicles — it feels like the rhythm of going to war, retired soldiers are being recalled, Fujian, Shandong, Guangdong are all full of military vehicles, large forces are assembling…”

The Chinese netizens filming the videos shouted while filming: “What’s happening? Are we going to war? Do you have that feeling?” “Today it’s all recruitment gatherings, missile units, armored vehicles — so many notices issued these past two days, one technical breakthrough after another…” “Why is the state calling on us to stockpile daily necessities?”

X user “NewUniverse” commented: “You're overthinking it. The Eastern Theater Command commander was removed, the navy political commissar was removed, the Fujian clique's CMC vice chairman was removed, those from the 31st Army were all swept up — so what war are they going to fight, with whose head?”

And “Destiny” wrote: “Transporting munitions like this during the day is just to scare the civilians. It seems internal contradictions within the wall are about to erupt. It's impossible they'll attack Taiwan.” △
