On July 1, 2026, several anti-communist organizations gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate in New York to hold a symbolic funeral for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The organizers declared, "The people have waited far too long for the Communist Party's funeral! The countdown to the end of the Communist Party has already begun!" (NTD TV)
[People News] July 1 marks the so-called 105th anniversary of the founding of the CCP. On this day, members of various anti-communist groups braved the sweltering heat of over 100 degrees Fahrenheit to present a "great gift" to the CCP—a black coffin inscribed with the words "End CCP, Funeral for the CCP." The demonstrators raised their fists and shouted, "End CCP! Down with the Communist Party! Down with the Communist bandits!" They displayed banners in both Chinese and English that read, "Dismantle the CCP, End the Persecution," and enthusiastically beat gongs and drums. Through this demonstration, they aimed to convey to the world that the persecuted Chinese people are eagerly awaiting the day of "Heavenly Punishment for the CCP" to arrive.
The Dajiyuan reported that the groups participating in the "Funeral for the CCP" event included the Chinese Democratic Party International Alliance, the Christian Public Welfare Alliance, the Awakening New Generation, the International Human Rights Concern Group, and the Overseas Chinese Human Rights Lawyers Alliance, among others.
Event organizer Jie Lijian stated on the X platform: "Over a billion people harmed by the CCP have been waiting too long for the Communist Party's funeral. The countdown to the demise of the Communist Party has already begun."
Jie Lijian, in an interview with New Tang Dynasty Television, remarked that July 1, the so-called founding day of the Communist Party of China, signifies the beginning of a day of suffering for the Chinese people. He expressed a desire for this day to become a day of mourning for the Party; the sooner it meets its end, the sooner the persecution, oppression, and bloody rule inflicted upon the Chinese people will cease. He emphasized that we are constantly ringing the death knell for the Communist Party, while on this day, the United States and the entire world are condemning its atrocious crimes.
During the event, a notable incident occurred: security personnel at the Chinese consulate noticed the procession mourning the Communist Party and lowered the rolling shutter. This action was ironically highlighted by anti-Communist activists. Democracy advocate Yang Maosen commented, 'This scene is quite telling; it symbolizes the Communist Party finally sealing the door to its own grave.'
Yuan Zhe, one of the event organizers and a member of the Chinese Democratic Party, stated that the coffin-carrying and funeral event for the Communist Party aims to inform the world that the Communist Party is the root of all evil—nearly every disaster in the world bears the mark of the Communist Party; wherever it goes, suffering follows.

Additionally, participants condemned the enforcement of the Communist Party's malicious 'National Unity and Progress Promotion Law' on this day, July 1.
Yuan Zhe remarked, 'This nefarious law legitimizes the Communist Party's long-arm jurisdiction over free territories abroad. Chinese individuals face persecution from the Communist Party within China, and even abroad, they continue to suffer at the hands of the Party's agents. We urge the free world to remain vigilant.'
Yang Maosen stated, "This malicious law fosters hatred between nations and seeks to legitimize the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) repression overseas. This constitutes international terrorism, and the global community must remain alert to the CCP's transnational repression and oppose this harmful legislation."
On July 1st, Tibetan organizations conducted a significant rally by the riverside across from the Chinese consulate, condemning the CCP's actions and denouncing the harmful 'National Unity and Progress Promotion Law.'
