[People News] The discussions surrounding the death of mainland actor Yu Menglong continue to gain momentum. Netizens are actively calling for an investigation into the truth, and various narratives are emerging online. Some reports even allege that a producer named Xin Qi is involved, who is rumoured to be the illegitimate son of Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China.
According to a post saved by the X user "News Investigation" that was deleted almost immediately, Yu Menglong attended a gathering of 17 people on the evening of September 10. The list of attendees reportedly includes: director Xin Qi, director Cheng Qingsong, screenwriter Ji Guangguang, director Fang Li, actress Song Yirun, who had previously been linked romantically to Yu Menglong, actress Tian Hairong, singer Jiao Maiqi, among others. Several videos from that night have surfaced, one of which allegedly shows a figure resembling Yu Menglong hanging upside down from a balcony, with a voice that appears to be Yu Menglong pleading, "I have acrophobia, let me go back!" Additionally, footage has emerged depicting the scene of him being hung upside down and subsequently falling to his death.
The external focus is now on Xin Qi. Rumours suggest that he is Cai Qi's illegitimate son. Strangely, prior to Yu Menglong's death, there was a wealth of information available online about Xin Qi's work as a director and producer, but following the incident, many Chinese netizens were shocked to discover that all information regarding Xin Qi had disappeared from the internet, with what was once accessible now nearly completely erased.
In a recent analysis on the self-media platform "Financial Cold Eye," it was noted that prior to the incident, there was a wealth of information about Xin Qi available online. However, following the incident, all related data was surprisingly removed from the internet, making it impossible to find now. It is currently rumoured online that he is the illegitimate son of Cai Qi. If this is true, then "this logic becomes self-consistent; otherwise, an ordinary person could not achieve such a level of influence, compelling both the media and police to comply. Many posts from actors have been deleted at their request, which is something an ordinary person cannot accomplish; only Cai Qi's 'illegitimate son' could manage that.
In response, Taiwanese financial media personality "Emmy Chasing Dramas" (Hu Caiping) took to Facebook to comment on the situation. She remarked that the rumours surrounding the case are becoming increasingly exaggerated, and internet administrators have been actively deleting posts. The rumours circulating on the 'external network' show no signs of abating, indicating that someone is intent on preventing this matter from reaching a conclusion. "It is quite possible that this involves a high-level power struggle."
Hu Caiping mentioned that she has been closely following the case of Yu Menglong's death and has even visited the Sunshine Shangdong community. She described it as a large luxury residential development, with an extraordinarily extravagant garden. Despite the severe sandstorms that plague Beijing, the garden resembles a European-style garden that has sprouted from the ground.
Hu Caiping believes that the Yu Menglong case likely involves a high-level power struggle. The ongoing deletion of posts by internet administrators, coupled with the persistent rumours from the 'external network' and the emergence of various claims, clearly suggests that someone does not want this issue to be resolved.
Hu Caiping also noted that before Xi Jinping assumed the role of General Secretary at the 18th National Congress in 2012, there was considerable upheaval. At that time, rumours circulated about the children of high-ranking officials dying in a car accident in Haidian District. It was later revealed that the individual involved in the accident was Ling Gu, the son of Ling Jihua, who served as the director of the Central Office under former General Secretary Hu Jintao.
Hu Caiping further explained that after Wang Lijun fled to the U.S. consulate, it came to light that Ling Jihua and Bo Xilai were conspiring to orchestrate a coup to unseat Xi Jinping, the successor agreed upon by the Jiang faction and the Youth League faction, in favor of Bo Xilai. At that time, it was extremely challenging for Hu Jintao to dismiss the director of the Central Office, as Ling Jihua was his most trusted aide, creating a precarious situation. Ultimately, Hu Jintao was compelled to address the issue with Ling Jihua due to the car accident involving Ling Gu.
In an effort to cover up the incident, Ling Jihua, acting in Hu Jintao's name, deployed the imperial guards and the Central Office's security team to manage the aftermath, which ultimately led to leaks about the situation. This unit could only be mobilised by Hu Jintao, and if Ling Jihua could command it, it would not be out of the question for him to later plot against Hu Jintao.
Hu Caiping remarked that the circumstances surrounding the Yu Menglong case bear a striking resemblance to those of the past, stating, "Where there are rumours, there must be something amiss."
Some netizens commented that, based on Hu Caiping's analysis, the dynamic between Hu Jintao and Ling Jihua back then mirrors that of Xi Jinping and Cai Qi today. According to online speculation, if Xin Qi is indeed Cai Qi's illegitimate son, it would explain the powerful official stability forces that have suppressed everything from law enforcement to online discourse following Yu Menglong's death. In China, such immense power could only be wielded by high-ranking officials in Zhongnanhai.
It is noteworthy that Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China responsible for propaganda, delivered a speech on September 17 at a seminar marking the publication of the fifth volume of 'Xi Jinping: The Governance of China.' In his remarks, Cai Qi emphasised that the key to studying this book lies in a profound understanding of the decisive significance of the 'Two Establishes' and the need to achieve the 'Two Safeguards,' among other points.
The terms 'Two Establishes' and 'Two Safeguards' are political jargon introduced after Xi Jinping assumed power, all aimed at rallying support for him.
Cai Qi further stated, 'We must deeply grasp Xi Jinping's insightful reflections on the overarching logic and major trends in the development of human society.'
Recently, the X account 'News Investigation' reported allegations regarding Cai Qi's illegitimate child being linked to a dubious case, noting, 'In recent days, Cai Qi has been excessively demonstrating loyalty, which is unusual.'
