[People News] For more than ten days now, the tragic death of mainland actor Yu Menglong has shocked countless netizens both at home and abroad. The tragic reality, however, is that even with two billion clicks and widespread calls for a thorough investigation, the truth has not been revealed—because behind the case lurks a powerful hidden hand. With the Beijing police issuing a weak “falling death” notice and internet censors frantically deleting posts, Yu Menglong’s case seems to have been sealed, leaving only those who grieve still in anger and sorrow.
And whether or not people believe it, at this moment, Yu Menglong’s wronged soul drifts in another dimension, likewise filled with rage at the darkness of the human world.
Recently, Taiwanese fortune-teller Shen Rong stated that she attempted to connect with the spiritual system of the “Akashic Records” through psychic means in order to seek the truth. At the very first contact with Yu Menglong’s soul energy, she clearly received the message: “I did not take my own life!” Accompanying this were vibrations of abuse and entrapment, indicating that his death was not a simple accident.
Shen further pointed out that Yu may have suffered violence and molestation before his death, with lingering signals in his soul of “fear of being killed.” This corresponds with clues circulating online—for example, he was once photographed with unexplained bruises around his eye and mouth, and in a livestream had said, “If one day I suddenly disappear, remember, it is absolutely not an accident.”
Whether Shen Rong’s psychic message is credible depends first on whether one believes in the existence of the human soul. In fact, since ancient times, many texts and notes have recorded people who remembered their past lives, such as Taiping Guangji, In Search of the Supernatural, Notes from the Cottage of Close Scrutiny, and Dongling Xiaozhi. These records demonstrate that the soul is real.
Moreover, in modern times, many people around the world have had near-death experiences. Their accounts undoubtedly tell humanity that the soul truly exists, that other dimensions truly exist, and that death is not the end of life. One continues in another form of existence in another realm. This means that heaven, hell, gods, and buddhas are likewise not mere fictions.
Some years ago, I read the Taiwanese book Pingyang Reincarnated People, which described many who remembered their past lives. It is mentioned that regardless of whether one died of old age, illness, accident, or murder—no matter the age—after death the soul, or yuan shen (original spirit), immediately leaves the body. It feels light, floating, able to drift about, expand or contract, and can see their grieving family, the burial of their body, and even the murderer who killed them.
After leaving the body, these souls discover they are in another dimension—the so-called underworld. What they eat there are actually the “souls” of food in the human world. People in the human realm cannot see this; it manifests only as the food rotting quickly.
These accounts can corroborate that after Yu Menglong’s yuan shen departed, he fully understood the causes and effects of what had happened in the human world, and clearly knew who and why he had been killed. Regarding his current state, Shen Rong revealed that because his natural lifespan was not yet finished and he died with great grievance, Yu is still wandering in the underworld, unable to enter reincarnation, his resentment extremely heavy. He himself understands that the case is difficult to overturn, because the forces behind it are enormous, and the truth may remain long suppressed.
So, did Yu Menglong truly die an unjust death? And will those who killed him really suffer no consequences? Not so. In this world, blessings and calamities all have causes; good causes bring good results, evil causes bring evil results. Nothing escapes the eyes of Heaven, and Heaven will judge. Those who murdered Yu, whether the ones who gave the order or those who carried it out, will not meet good ends, though the timing and manner of their retribution may differ depending on their fortune.
Consider this historical story. During the Jin dynasty, Yang Dan, the Prefect of Lujiang, was brutal in temperament. Because he was related by marriage to the emperor, he acted recklessly, killing anyone he disliked. At the time, the General Who Pacifies the West reported all of Yang Dan’s crimes to the court, noting that he had unjustly killed 290 people, including Jian Liang. He recommended the death penalty, but since Yang was a relative of the imperial family, he asked if a pardon might be granted.
Emperor Xianzong initially decreed: “He should be imprisoned and ordered to commit suicide.” But Yang’s niece, Princess Shan, persistently begged the emperor to spare him. Unable to withstand her pleas, the emperor reluctantly stripped Yang Dan of his title and reduced him to a commoner.
After being demoted, Yang was grateful to have escaped death. Yet soon he fell gravely ill. One day, before his eyes appeared Jian Liang and others whom he had killed, demanding: “Can our grievances simply be forgotten? Now we’ve come to drag you to the Yellow Springs!” The next day, Yang Dan died.
Though he escaped human punishment through imperial pardon, he could not escape karmic retribution. Ultimately, he still perished. By the same logic, those who, relying on hidden powers, murdered Yu Menglong may temporarily escape the punishment of human law, but how can they evade Heaven’s eyes? How can they avoid karmic justice? In time, evildoers will meet their evil ends.
