[People News] On October 11, Dr. A. Adityanjee, Chairman and Founder of the International Commission for Human Rights and Religious Freedom (ICHRRF), told The Dajiyuan: “The United States now needs to focus on countering the CCP’s transnational repression and its acts of imperial expansion.”
Widespread CCP Transnational Persecution of Falun Gong
According to The Dajiyuan reporter Zhang Yi in Virginia, Dr. Adityanjee said that as a human rights worker, he is aware of the CCP’s transnational persecution of Falun Gong.
He said, “Falun Gong practitioners are threatened everywhere because CCP agents follow them wherever they go.”
“Overseas Falun Gong practitioners are threatened that their families in China will be harmed — this includes performers with Shen Yun Performing Arts.”
The mother of Steven Wang, a dance teacher and former lead dancer with the U.S.-based Shen Yun Performing Arts, Liu Aihua — a Falun Gong practitioner from Hunan Province — was sentenced by the CCP to four years in prison in 2023.
One of her alleged “crimes” was that her son had joined Shen Yun Performing Arts.
Headquartered in New York, Shen Yun Performing Arts presents “China before Communism.” For nearly two decades, the company has been a target of Beijing’s attacks.
Dr. Adityanjee said that the CCP police station operating in New York is another example of the CCP’s transnational repression of Falun Gong.
He said, “The CCP operates police stations overseas. These overseas police stations threaten Chinese students and people who have immigrated to the United States.”
On April 17, 2024, U.S. citizens of Chinese descent Lu Jianwang (Harry Lu) and Chen Jinping were arrested by the FBI.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Lu and Chen worked with China’s Ministry of Public Security (MPS) to establish the first overseas CCP police station in the United States.
According to the indictment, since at least 2015, the two had helped the CCP regime harass Falun Gong practitioners protesting the CCP in Washington, D.C., and helped locate individuals of interest to the Chinese government.
Investigations revealed that Lu maintained a “trusted relationship” with the CCP regime, especially the MPS and the United Front Work Department (UFWD). The CCP’s MPS and its “610 Office” — the extralegal agency responsible for persecuting Falun Gong — repeatedly directed Lu to disrupt Falun Gong activities, collect information on practitioners, and publish anti-Falun Gong materials in newspapers.
CCP Weaponizes Every Possible Tactic
Regarding the CCP’s weaponization of U.S. mainstream media and the judicial system to attack Falun Gong and Shen Yun, Dr. Adityanjee said, “The CCP has launched three kinds of warfare — legal warfare, psychological warfare, and information warfare.”
“They weaponize every possible tactic, including information and legal systems, while psychologically intimidating people.”
“They have done this inside China, and they are now doing the same in the United States.”
Earlier, prominent legal scholar and former Peking University Law professor Yuan Hongbing told The Dajiyuan that Xi Jinping ordered an escalation of transnational persecution against Falun Gong in 2022, primarily through ‘public opinion warfare’ and ‘legal warfare.’
Since March 2024, The New York Times has published 12 consecutive articles attacking Falun Gong and Shen Yun.
Mark Yang, a representative of the Falun Dafa Information Center, said that a former dancer who filed a lawsuit and was cited in The New York Times has ties with Beijing Dance Academy, an institution operated by the CCP.
A Chinese YouTuber who supports the CCP and has made violent threats against Shen Yun faces U.S. charges for illegal possession of weapons. This person is closely connected with The New York Times’ sources and publicly discussed collaborating with The New York Times reporters in August 2024.
Dr. Adityanjee said that the CCP’s weaponization of the U.S. media and legal system poses a threat to national security.
He said, “It certainly poses a threat to U.S. national security.”
He added that the Chinese Communist Party has amassed trillions of dollars in funds: “They use this money to buy influence, bribe journalists, buy off mainstream media, and fund lectures in universities. They established Confucius Institutes — all funded by the Chinese Communist Party.”
U.S. Attention Diverted, Ignoring the CCP’s Dangers
Dr. Adityanjee further stated that the U.S. is currently distracted and ignoring the dangers posed by the CCP.
He said, “The U.S. government is currently focused on smaller issues — the Middle East, Afghanistan, or the Ukraine–Russia war — while failing to recognize that the greatest threat to humanity today is the CCP, not the Russian Federation.”
“Unfortunately, the U.S. government pays more attention to the threat from Russia while ignoring the CCP’s threat.”
Dr. Adityanjee added that the CCP is actively pursuing global expansion.
He said, “The CCP wants to occupy the entire South China Sea and turn it into its private lake. It refuses to abide by the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. They also want to take over the Philippines, claim sovereignty over Scarborough Shoal, and assert sovereignty over the Senkaku Islands. Border disputes with India and Bhutan continue. As far back as the 1970s and 1990s, they also had land boundary disputes with Russia and the Soviet Union. In short, they are a regime of gradual expansion, eager to seize all resources for themselves.”
Communism and the CCP Harm China and the World
Dr. Adityanjee said, “The ideology of the Communist Party is entirely contrary to democracy, freedom, and equality.”
“Communism and Marxism are discredited philosophies worldwide. The communist empires have collapsed.”
“Even in Russia, the Communist Party no longer rules. Almost all communist governments in Eastern Europe have been overthrown and replaced by democracies.”
“Only China remains a communist dictatorship — perhaps Cuba as well. Cuba has begun reforms, but China must undergo democratic, not merely economic, reform.”
“I hope the Chinese people can break free from the shackles of Marxism (Communism) on their nation.”
The U.S. Should Focus on Countering CCP Transnational Repression and Expansion
Regarding how the U.S. should respond to the CCP’s transnational repression, Dr. Adityanjee said: “They (the U.S.) need to identify CCP agents operating on American soil, because these spies report back to the CCP. The CCP sends journalists and students, and sometimes other seemingly harmless individuals — like researchers — for exchanges or visits. But they all report to the CCP. Therefore, the U.S. government needs to be aware of this and distinguish CCP agents from ordinary Chinese who come to the U.S. to study or participate in other activities.”
Dr. Adityanjee believes that the U.S. has not fully recognized the severity of CCP transnational repression.
“They (the U.S.) seem to underestimate the threat posed by the CCP. Therefore, they need to make an accurate assessment of the threat and take diplomatic and other measures — whether through geopolitical or other means — to counter the CCP.”
“I believe the U.S. now needs to focus on the CCP’s transnational repression and imperialist expansion,” he said. △
