On November 26, 2025, a massive fire broke out at Hongfuyuan, Tai Po District, New Territories, Hong Kong
[People News] The year 2025 is coming to an end. This has been an extraordinary year—both in the heavens and among humanity, with frequent anomalies, ever-changing international dynamics, and a global surge in natural and man-made disasters, many of which are closely linked to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Especially on the international stage, the CCP has committed a succession of violent and disgraceful acts, exposing itself to the world. People across the globe have increasingly chosen to abandon evil and embrace goodness, turning away from the CCP as a result. As the year draws to a close, the following review is presented in the hope of helping people further distinguish right from wrong, good from evil, and return to kindness and justice.
VI. Yu Menglong’s Bizarre Death; CCP’s Refusal to Open a Case Enrages Netizens Worldwide
On September 11, mainland actor Yu Menglong was suddenly reported to have died after falling from a building at a friend’s residence in Beijing. Within 12 hours, Beijing’s Chaoyang District police concluded that it was a drunken fall, ruled out criminal responsibility, and declined to open a case. This sparked furious condemnation from netizens both inside and outside China. Many suspected that this was a murder involving collusion between capital interests and CCP elites, claiming that Yu Menglong possessed evidence of money laundering, corruption, and other crimes implicating powerful figures. Others believed that Yu Menglong had been used by top CCP leaders as a sacrificial offering through dark sorcery to ward off disasters and extend their lives.
Netizens questioned the police: Why did he go to a friend’s home only to jump from a building? Who attended the gathering? Why did no one at the scene try to stop it? Where is the surveillance footage? Whose Rolex watch was it? Where is the autopsy report? Where did the agent go? Why would a young man at the height of his career, with a boundless future ahead of him, suddenly jump to his death without explanation?
Faced with an avalanche of questions, the police played deaf and dumb and have yet to respond. Instead, the CCP authorities went on a frenzied campaign of deleting posts, banning accounts, and arresting people. Large numbers of netizens were summoned for “tea,” forced to sign statements. Yet netizens did not give up and bravely continued to confront the CCP. The police’s inaction created countless “Sherlock Holmes,” and in the process of investigating Yu Menglong’s case, large numbers of so-called “little pinks” and hardline “reds” began to reflect, recognize the brutality of the CCP’s dictatorial system, and choose to abandon the CCP. After Yu Menglong’s death, he received support from around the world, including Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, as well as Europe and the Americas. His supporters declared that, to prevent another Yu Menglong from appearing, “Until the truth comes out, we will not disperse.”
VII. Using Organs to Extend Life and Seek Immortality
CCP leader Xi Jinping caused a major international scandal during the September 3 military parade in Beijing. While walking toward the Tiananmen Gate tower, he chatted cheerfully with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The two discussed the topic of immortality. Xi said that humans in this era could live to 150 years old, and that 70 years of age would still be considered a child. Putin, who may be aware that high-ranking officials in the CCP state capture young Chinese people and harvest their organs alive for transplants to extend their own lives, bluntly responded that human longevity could be achieved through organ transplantation.
The Xi–Putin discussion of immortality caused an uproar in global public opinion. Political leaders in civilized countries such as the United States condemned this “evil way of thinking.” The world gained an even clearer understanding of just how selfish and terrifying the atheistic beliefs underpinning a dictatorial tyranny can be.
VIII. CCP Diplomat in Japan Threatens to Behead the Japanese Prime Minister
On November 7, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi stated during a parliamentary session that a “Taiwan contingency” could constitute a “survival-threatening situation” warranting Japan’s exercise of the right of collective self-defense. The next day, Xue Jian, the CCP’s Consul General in Osaka, posted a threat on the X platform: “Those filthy heads that barge in without permission should be chopped off without hesitation. Are you prepared for this?” On the 9th, apparently still unsatisfied, Xue Jian posted another threat: “‘A Taiwan contingency is a Japan contingency’—this phrase is the road to death chosen by some foolish Japanese politicians.”
Such terrorist rhetoric about beheading Japan’s prime minister inevitably brought to mind former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. On July 8, 2022, the 67-year-old Abe was assassinated by gunfire while delivering a campaign speech in Nara. Abe had also stated that a Taiwan contingency would be a Japan contingency. What puzzled the public was that Xue Jian surely knew all of this—so why did he still issue such threats against Sanae Takaichi? One cannot help but let the imagination run wild.
Xue Jian’s “beheading theory” was condemned by Japanese and international public opinion, yet the CCP’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of National Defense openly sided with Xue Jian. This shows that such terrorist-style rhetoric does not represent a personal view, but rather serves as the CCP’s mouthpiece, backed by the CCP. Subsequently, the CCP summoned Southeast Asian ambassadors, while Foreign Minister Wang Yi shuttled among political leaders in France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan, demanding that they maintain consistency with the CCP’s narrative on Taiwan, while domestically reminding Chinese citizens not to travel to Japan.
The CCP’s terrorist language also reminded people of Xi Jinping’s speech at the CCP’s centennial celebration on July 1, 2021, when he said that foreign forces that seek to bully, oppress, or enslave us will inevitably “smash their heads and spill blood.”
In the last century, the CCP grew strong by exploiting Japan’s invasion of China, and after World War II relied on the Soviet Red Army, along with surrendered Japanese and Korean troops, to drive the Republic of China government to Taiwan. It should be said that the Japanese imperial army played a role in helping the CCP seize power on the mainland. Today, amid the CCP-incited anti-Japan hatred and movements, the world once again sees the CCP’s ingratitude. For the CCP, it is necessary to embrace enemies when convenient, and necessary to betray benefactors when convenient—all to maintain its own regime and private interests.
IX. Hong Kong Fire; CCP National Security Arrests Those Who Question
According to figures released by the Hong Kong government, the Tai Po Hung Fuk Estate fire resulted in 161 deaths. Citizens spontaneously formed a “Tai Po Hung Fuk Estate Fire Concern Group” and initiated an online petition. Instead of addressing those responsible for causing the disaster, the CCP-stationed police and national security authorities arrested people who demanded accountability. The Office for Safeguarding National Security claimed that civil forces calling for investigation of the fire were using the disaster to disrupt Hong Kong, and that they would be pursued no matter how far they fled. The Hong Kong government directly accused “anti-China” media (the CCP itself being the true anti-China force) of spreading rumors behind the scenes, while the Police Force and the National Security Department arrested multiple Hong Kong residents. Many online influencers no longer dared to speak out.
X. Convicting Jimmy Lai
On December 15, judges of the Hong Kong High Court designated under the CCP’s National Security Law ruled that Jimmy Lai, founder of the former Next Digital media group, was guilty on all three charges of “conspiracy to collude with foreign (overseas) forces,” “conspiracy to publish seditious publications,” and “endangering national security,” with sentencing postponed to next year.
On the day of the hearing, many people of unknown identity occupied the limited public gallery seats outside the court well in advance. They generally did not respond to journalists’ questions, or did not know which case they were attending, and some even scolded reporters for being annoying.
Many international human rights organizations accused the case of being controlled by Beijing rather than decided by a jury. From illegal arrest to sham trials, the case demonstrates the CCP’s destruction of Hong Kong’s civilization, rule of law, and freedom.
Human Rights Watch Asia and its director Elaine Pearson pointed out that Jimmy Lai was convicted on false charges, an act that is both cruel and a mockery of justice, aimed at silencing those who dare to criticize the Communist Party. She called on foreign governments to apply pressure to overturn the Lai case, and said that the Chinese and Hong Kong governments should pay a price for suppressing press freedom.
Amnesty International stated that the verdict was shocking and disappointing. Its China director Sarah Brooks said that the ruling was like sounding the death knell for press freedom in Hong Kong, because journalistic work has been repackaged as a crime under the Hong Kong National Security Law, and Lai was convicted solely because he and the Apple Daily he founded had criticized the government—something that could never have been considered a criminal offense before the law’s implementation. She emphasized that the verdict is not just about Jimmy Lai alone, but represents the latest step in Hong Kong’s systematic suppression of freedom of expression, denying the most basic principle that people can hold those in power accountable. Amnesty International called on the Hong Kong government to immediately and unconditionally release Jimmy Lai, a prisoner of conscience.
Reporters Without Borders (RSF) issued a statement expressing outrage at the authorities’ fabrication of national security charges to convict Jimmy Lai, describing his imprisonment as symbolizing the broader, devastating collapse of press freedom in Hong Kong. It called on democratic leaders worldwide to take immediate action to prevent the 78-year-old Lai, whose health is deteriorating, from dying in prison, emphasizing that what is on trial is press freedom, not Lai as an individual.
In New York, the Committee to Protect Journalists also issued a statement condemning the verdict against Jimmy Lai. Quoting its Asia-Pacific director Beh Lih Yi, the statement said that this sham conviction is a disgraceful act of persecution, highlighting Hong Kong’s complete contempt for press freedom, and called on the Hong Kong government to immediately release Jimmy Lai.
Conclusion
There are many more instances in which the CCP’s atrocities have brought international disgrace—such as bomb threats and cyberattacks against Shen Yun and The Epoch Times, military intimidation against Taiwan, and support for Russia in the Russia-Ukraine war that has been exposed by Ukrainian and U.S. officials. Due to space limitations, they cannot all be listed here. In short, the CCP is the chief culprit behind global chaos; wherever the specter of the CCP appears, there is little peace. People of conscience and justice must distance themselves from the CCP. Those who once joined the Party, Youth League, or Young Pioneers and swore to dedicate their lives to it should withdraw as soon as possible, because evil cannot endure between heaven and earth—it will one day collapse and be held to account. How could people of noble humanity be buried alongside it?
