[People News] Today, the United States and Israel have jointly launched a large-scale military operation against Iran, codenamed 'Operation Epic Fury' by the U.S. and 'Operation Roaring Lion' by Israel, targeting several high-ranking Iranian officials. Reports indicate that the residence of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, has suffered severe damage, and his current status is unknown or he is unreachable; additional reports suggest that the Attorney General and several commanders of the Revolutionary Guard were killed in the attack.

According to intelligence from various media and official sources on February 28, the situation remains highly chaotic. Satellite images and on-site photographs reveal that Khamenei's office and residence complex in central Tehran were directly struck by missiles from the U.S.-Israeli coalition, resulting in the collapse of some buildings and the emergence of thick smoke.

Israeli media Channel 12 reported that Israeli intelligence assesses that Khamenei has a 'very low chance of survival' following the first wave of airstrikes, with indications suggesting he may have been killed in the attack. The report also mentioned that Qassem Soleimani, the commander of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and Iran's Minister of Defence, Mohammad Reza Naghdi, were killed in the airstrikes.

Iranian officials have denied reports of Supreme Leader Khamenei's death. In an interview with NBC, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated unequivocally that Khamenei 'is still alive' and that all senior officials are actively managing the crisis. Iranian state media announced that Khamenei would deliver a speech 'in a few minutes,' but as of now, no live footage has been broadcast.

According to Reuters, Iranian officials reported that Khamenei was urgently relocated to a 'highly secure secret location' or an underground bunker on the outskirts of Tehran just hours before the airstrike, and that external communications have been temporarily suspended for security reasons.

Some Turkish media and social media platforms have circulated claims that Khamenei may have sustained serious injuries in the attack and is currently undergoing emergency treatment.

Iranian officials have confirmed that President Masoud Pezeshkian is safe. Given Khamenei's age of 86 and the physical destruction of his office, there is significant concern about potential internal power struggles within the Iranian regime should he become incapacitated. Current reports suggest that his son, Masoud Khamenei, is serving as a communication link between him and the military.

The world is eagerly awaiting the Iranian government to release the latest video or evidence of Khamenei's appearance. If Khamenei remains silent in the coming hours, it could lead to further unrest between the Iranian military and the public.
