[People News] On March 3, U.S. President Trump posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, stating that Iran's air defence, air force, navy, and leadership have all been destroyed, and that it is now 'too late' to negotiate.

On March 2 and 3, the U.S. and Israel conducted airstrikes on the headquarters and associated buildings of the 'Expert Meeting' in Tehran and Qom, which is responsible for selecting the successor to Supreme Leader Khamenei. So far, there have been no reports of casualties.

According to a report by Liberty Times on the 4th, citing AFP, Trump remarked during a meeting with German Chancellor Merkel at the White House: 'Almost everything has been destroyed.'

He further stated that, based on the progress of negotiations, he believes Iran intends to launch an attack first. As a result, he took preemptive action, which also compelled Israel to respond.

Trump also advised Iranian protesters to hold off on significant actions until the situation stabilises.

He noted that the two waves of attacks by the U.S. and Israel on Iran have already eliminated his originally preferred candidates for new leadership.

However, Iranian state media Mehr News Agency reported late on the 3rd that 'the son of the Supreme Leader, Mojtaba, is still alive and in good health.' The media added that they received 'reliable information' and mentioned that Mojtaba is handling matters related to his deceased family members and studying national affairs, without providing further details.

Mojtaba is Khamenei's second son and participated in the Iran-Iraq War from 1980 to 1988. He currently serves as the de facto leader of the Iranian militia organisation 'Basij' and is widely viewed as a potential successor.
