[People News] Sino-U.S. relations have consistently been a focal point of global interest. Trump has postponed his visit to China, and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) showed no signs of displeasure, readily agreeing without raising any questions or complaints. Taiwan's macroeconomic expert Wu Jialong noted that Trump, with his military background and knowledge of military strategy, is well-suited to confront the Communist Party.

On the 28th, Wu Jialong took to Facebook to highlight that soon, 'a continuously declining China' will be showcased to the world. He advises blue and white legislators to abandon their misguided ways and stop being overly concerned with the Communist Party's opinions! Regardless of how much you have interacted with the CCP in the past, the benefits you may have gained, or the leverage they may hold over you, it is crucial to grasp the significance of this grand drama of Sino-U.S. confrontation; this represents the largest great power competition of the new century.'

Wu Jialong remarked in a post: "There are two points I want to clarify. First, the so-called rise of China as a major power occurred right under the watchful eyes of the United States. This means that it was with the support of the US—backing Deng Xiaoping's reforms, providing export markets, granting Most Favoured Nation status, placing orders, and supplying capital and technology—that China was ultimately able to join the World Trade Organisation as a developing country, receiving assistance in every aspect of its economic development. Thus, it was only when the US fully supported China's reform and opening up that we witnessed the so-called golden decade and the rise of a major power. If the US were to withdraw its support for China's economy, the rise of a major power would inevitably turn into its decline. This is the fundamental factor underlying US-China relations during the Trump era. Second, it is important to note that during the rise of this major power, Hong Kong and Taiwan provided continuous and crucial assistance. In the current era of Xi Jinping, it is astonishing that he is repaying kindness with hostility, persistently targeting Hong Kong and Taiwan, which is a path to self-destruction. Without the support of Hong Kong and Taiwan, China's economy would be insignificant! He added: "Don't dismiss this; just look at the actual economic conditions in China—from Dongguan in Guangdong to Kunshan in Jiangsu, you can see the reality everywhere after Taiwanese businesses have departed."

He then shifted the discussion to the critical strategic competition between the US and China.

Wu Jialong stated, "The crux of great power competition is the economy, which hinges on technology, and technology depends on the cultivation of high-level talent. The United States initially assisted China in developing this talent, but has now realised that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) harbours ill intentions and seeks to challenge America's hegemonic status. Naturally, the U.S. has turned against them, severing all talent development in the fields of science and engineering! As a result, China's military industrial sector will face a talent shortage, and research and development funds are being misappropriated, leading to weapon systems that are essentially substandard and unable to withstand any serious challenge."

He posed a pointed question to pro-China politicians from the Kuomintang and the People First Party: "In such a China, do the blue and white legislators still want to ignore the shifting international landscape? A China that is in continuous decline, besieged by 'energy', 'technology', and 'market' constraints—does it still merit your sycophancy?!”

He cautioned: “Let me remind you, if you are in Taiwan but engage in actions that undermine Taiwan's security and interests, you will undoubtedly face divine retribution in the future! Are you still obstructing the special defence budget? Do you genuinely believe that others are powerless against you? Stop being naive. To conclude, borrowing a term from the gambling world, if your hand is guaranteed to win, what is your greatest fear? You fear that the opponent understands the situation, quits playing, and takes a loss. The Americans fully grasp this concept, which is why they continually allow Xi Jinping to feel he can keep playing, while gradually tightening the noose, making it impossible for him to escape!"

He remarked, "This is Trump—a Trump with a military background, a Trump who has studied military strategy, and a very cunning Trump, perfectly suited to confront the Communist Party! The United States has effectively ensnared the Chinese Communist Party, denying it any opportunity to recognise losses and halt its damage. It continuously provokes and humiliates Xi Jinping, leaving him unable to stop and forcing him to see it through to the end. It even leads Xi Jinping to believe he still has a chance, when in reality, he has fallen into America's trap. So, consider this carefully for yourselves; don't be foolishly manipulated by the Communist Party without realising it." △
