The CCP Again Exposes Its Troublemaking Nature at the SCO Meeting

The new Defence Minister, Dong Jun, may add new drama to the 46th image (prophecy) of the Tui Bei Tu. (Truth of the People provided the report.)

[People News] On June 25, Chinese Defence Minister Dong Jun met in Qingdao with Russian Defence Minister Belousov and Iranian Defence Minister Nasserzadeh, both of whom were attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) defence ministers’ meeting. Dong Jun emphasised the need for “solidarity,” “coordination,” and maintaining global strategic stability. He took the opportunity to harshly criticise “unilateralism,” “protectionism,” and acts of “hegemonic bullying,” calling these the greatest sources of global chaos. The timing—shortly after the U.S. reportedly bombed some of Iran’s nuclear facilities—left many observers feeling that Dong was clearly taking a veiled swipe at the United States, implicitly calling for united resistance against it.

The SCO consists of 10 member countries, including China, Russia, Iran, and Pakistan. Its stated goal is to counterbalance Western organisations and enhance cooperation in the areas of politics, security, and trade. The timing of this year’s summit—just one day after the NATO summit—was widely seen as a direct response to NATO.

The strengthening ties among China, Iran, and Russia at this meeting drew close scrutiny from the international community.

Nasserzadeh expressed gratitude for China’s support, saying he hoped China would play a greater role in maintaining the current ceasefire situation.

In terms of protecting the Iranian regime, China and Iran have reached a consensus. China cannot afford to let Iran—the nuclear asset it has nurtured for half a century—be destroyed. Iran, as a controlled pawn for stirring chaos in the Middle East, must remain in play so that the U.S. and Europe are distracted when Beijing attempts military aggression toward Taiwan and pursues global dominance. Thus, while China accuses others of being the source of global chaos, it is itself the true culprit.

Belousov stated that Russia is willing to work with China to deepen strategic military communication and practical cooperation, and to jointly maintain global strategic stability.

But again, the so-called "global strategic stability" is defined according to the terms of China and Russia. China has never condemned its close partner, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Several of Kyiv’s allies believe China is providing Moscow with economic and diplomatic support that enables continued military operations.

Whether it’s the Russia-Ukraine war, the Israel-Iran conflict, or tensions in the Taiwan Strait, all bear the fingerprints of China’s involvement or influence. Observers believe that while China cloaks its actions in the rhetoric of “fairness and justice” and “peaceful development,” its true goal is to use platforms like the SCO to protect and advance its own strategic interests. Wherever the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) goes, disaster follows. The CCP is the world’s largest source of instability and conflict.

Interestingly, in its official report on this event, China’s Ministry of National Defence placed the mention of Russia and its meeting with Russia's representatives at the very end, after discussing other participants. It’s unclear whether this was a deliberate move to downplay the perception of collusion or to highlight enhanced cooperation with Iran.

Describing the Qingdao meeting, Dong Jun said it was meant as a counterweight to a “turbulent and ever-changing” world. He claimed that under such circumstances, “the SCO needs to play an anchoring role.” The defence ministers from multiple countries sat around a large round table, and the meeting lasted about two hours. The official agenda was not released, but the recent conflict between Iran and Israel (a U.S. ally) was very likely discussed.

The CCP has long envied how developed Western countries form alliances, and it has made every effort to organise international groups to counter them, using the China-Central Asia Summit to offset the G7, the BRICS summit to challenge Western economic power, and the SCO to counter NATO. But all these manoeuvres reveal the CCP’s ambition to divide the world into factions, raise its own flag, and dominate the globe. At this meeting, the CCP once again exposed its rogue nature—playing the thief while yelling “Stop thief!” It seeks to wreak havoc on the world while accusing the peaceful forces that maintain global stability of being the source of chaos. △
