President of an international organization Bill Alexson (Li Chen / The Dajiyuan)
[People News] Bill Alexson, president of an international organization, told The Dajiyuan that the CCP’s transnational repression in the United States against groups such as Falun Gong and Shen Yun is an attack on the United States and directly threatens U.S. national security.
CCP’s Attacks on Shen Yun and Falun Gong Are Equivalent to Attacks on the United States
The scope of the CCP’s transnational repression continues to expand, including attacks on Falun Gong, Christianity, Tibetan Buddhists, Uyghurs, Hong Kong and Taiwanese dissidents; and the CCP has especially targeted Falun Gong and Shen Yun as top suppression targets. Various violent, illegal, and covert attacks continue to escalate, including “lawfare” and public-opinion warfare.
Regarding the above situation, Alexson said in a recent interview with The Dajiyuan, “This threat is very serious. It is an attack on our country.”
Alexson is the founder and president of “Sports Power Ministry,” an international sports organization headquartered in Maryland, leading some NBA players around the world to compete. Due to the strong influence of these individuals, “Sports Power Ministry” is able to obtain free television broadcasts reaching millions of viewers.
According to the latest statistics from the Falun Dafa Information Center, from March 2024 to October 16, 2025, the total number of anonymous death threats targeting Falun Gong practitioners or impersonating Falun Gong practitioners has reached 193.
Regarding the CCP’s continuous escalation of persecution against groups such as Shen Yun and Falun Gong in the United States, Alexson said, “Why is this happening? It’s because we have been too lax. We have let too many things just happen. This is terrible.”
“Our (U.S.) government in the past … has not done what our Founding Fathers expected.”
Previously, renowned legal scholar and former Peking University law professor Yuan Hongbing told The Dajiyuan that CCP leader Xi Jinping ordered in 2022 an escalation of transnational persecution against Falun Gong, implemented mainly through “public-opinion warfare” and “lawfare.”
The Falun Dafa Information Center states that since March 2024, The New York Times has published 12 consecutive articles attacking Falun Gong and Shen Yun.
Shen Yun is a New York–based performing arts company dedicated to presenting traditional Chinese culture from before communism. The company was created by Falun Gong practitioners. Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a spiritual practice involving meditation exercises and moral teachings based on the principles of “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.” The CCP considers Shen Yun and Falun Gong a threat because they have long exposed the CCP regime’s various human-rights abuses.
Mark Yang, a representative of the Falun Dafa Information Center, said that a former dancer cited by The New York Times in its reporting, who filed a legal complaint, has cooperative ties with the Beijing Dance Academy, an institution operated by the CCP.
A Chinese YouTuber who supports the CCP and has previously issued violent threats against Shen Yun is facing charges in the United States for alleged illegal possession of weapons. This individual is closely connected with those interviewed by The New York Times. In August 2024, this YouTuber publicly spoke about collaborating with The New York Times reporters.
CCP’s Transnational Repression Threatens U.S. National Security — CCP Is America’s Number-One Enemy
Alexson stated that the CCP’s use of U.S. mainstream media, social-media platforms, and American institutions to attack groups such as Falun Gong and Shen Yun “poses a threat to (U.S.) national security.”
The CCP has long actively used American social-media platforms to expand its stigmatizing propaganda against Falun Gong and Shen Yun.
According to data provided by BuzzSumo, a social-media analytics tool based in Brighton, U.K., a Chinese-language article by The New York Times attacking Shen Yun was massively reposted on the X platform and became the most shared New York Times article on X in more than a year.
Rex Lee, a cybersecurity expert from “My Smart Privacy,” pointed out: “This looks like an organized, state-level automated bot attack operation.” Rex has provided consulting services to major corporations and U.S. government agencies including the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the National Security Agency (NSA).
In February 2025, the social-media platform X deleted thousands of accounts suspected of having ties to the CCP.
Alexson said, “The CCP is very dangerous.”
“But I believe the U.S. government is beginning to realize that the CCP issue is our number-one issue; the CCP is our number-one enemy.”
Alexson stated that the CCP is infiltrating the world through various means.
Alexson said, “When I travel to other countries with my NBA players, I often ask: ‘Who built that building over there?’”
“They answer: ‘China (the CCP) built it.’”
“China (the CCP) is expanding its influence around the world through various behind-the-scenes means.”
“The CCP tries to control the world not only through bullets and weapons, but also through propaganda and influence,” he said.
Recommendations for the United States to Take Action
Regarding the CCP’s continued attacks in the United States on groups such as Falun Gong and Shen Yun, Alexson recommended that the U.S. government take action to actively counter and stop the CCP’s transnational repression.
Alexson said, “We need to tell President Trump and his administration what is happening, and hopefully they will take action on this.”
“I hope that under President Trump’s leadership, the situation will improve.”
“If we do not change the (related) policies, then we will be in trouble.”
“I think the Trump administration understands this very clearly; they are working in the right direction. But we still need to pray to God. God is the only one who can see everything.”
