International Human Rights Day: Pick up your phone and condemn the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong. (Minghui.org)
[People News] The CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong is the longest-lasting, most widespread, and most brutal human rights persecution in the world today. Now, ordinary Chinese people are subjected to blood tests at any time and have become the CCP’s “live organ bank.” Ordinary Chinese teenagers (including infants and young children) have also become a resource for the CCP’s elite to seek rejuvenation—this is an extension of the CCP’s large-scale live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners.
International Human Rights Day is a global commemoration held every year on December 10. Its purpose is to call on governments, organizations, and individuals around the world to jointly promote and protect basic human rights, emphasizing respect for life, liberty, belief, speech, and other fundamental rights.
We also call on more peace-loving and kind-hearted people to face the persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP, which has lasted for more than 26 years and continues today. From the very beginning, this persecution has impacted hundreds of millions of Chinese families. The CCP has persecuted practitioners who follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance by means of illegal arrests, violent “transformation,” and even live organ harvesting. It has also indoctrinated the entire Chinese population with lies and hatred, and it controls people in other countries through profit and sexual enticement. For 26 years, by making people remain silent on this major moral issue out of fear or self-interest, the CCP has completely overturned the moral concepts of Chinese people and many others.
In July 1999, out of petty jealousy, the CCP’s dictator Jiang Zemin used the entire state apparatus and all media outlets to launch this campaign. After Jiang’s death, the current regime continues the persecution. According to Minghui.org reports, Falun Gong practitioners across China are still subjected to large-scale abductions, home raids, illegal sentencing, various tortures, killings, forced injections, school expulsions, extortion, deprivation of pensions, and more. The large number of exposed cases is shocking.
History and reality tell us that the CCP, an anti-human organization, not only uses hatred, violence, and sexual corruption to control hundreds of millions in China, but also employs all means of “unrestricted warfare” to destroy basic human rights and common sense worldwide. This is determined by its evil nature.
Below are several recent cases of persecution of Falun Gong practitioners that have broken through the CCP’s cover-ups and censorship. Although they are only the tip of the iceberg, each one is a human life, and behind every victim is at least one family.
I. Recent Cases of Falun Gong Practitioners Persecuted to Death
(1) Chen Yan, a 45-year-old Falun Gong practitioner in Benxi City, Liaoning Province, a university graduate, was arrested in July 2024 for distributing Falun Gong truth-clarification materials. In the Benxi Detention Center, guards instructed and allowed inmates to repeatedly beat her, pulling out her hair in clumps, causing her to cough blood and faint multiple times. Her lawyer saw injuries on her scalp, lumps, and wounds on her body, arms, and legs. She reacted slowly, had difficulty communicating, kept her head down, and was in extremely poor condition.
On June 26, 2025, Xihu District Court sentenced her to five years and extorted a 5,000-yuan fine. When her parents visited her twice in October 2025, she was pushed out in a wheelchair. She could no longer walk, her hair was matted, and she trembled all over. She told her parents she was so weak she had to hold the wall and press one hand to the ground when using the toilet, and feared she might not survive. Her parents were heartbroken.
On November 5, 2025, Chen Yan was transferred to Liaoning Women’s Prison. She died tragically three days later. When her family dressed her body, black sticky fluid flowed from her mouth.
(2) Li Qiaolian, a Falun Gong practitioner in Baiyin City, Gansu Province, had been illegally sentenced three times and imprisoned in Gansu Women’s Prison. She was beaten by police in detention—her hair was grabbed, her head was slammed, her hands were kicked while cuffed, and she suffered unbearable pain. Under guards’ orders, inmates frequently beat her, slamming her head into walls, injuring her eyes, tearing her ears until they bled, kicking her legs with leather shoes, scratching her face with pens, and force-administering unknown drugs. She was covered in injuries and forced to do slave labor.
In mid-September 2023, she was sentenced to 3 years and 9 months and fined 8,000 yuan. In April 2025, she began vomiting blood and was diagnosed with late-stage lung cancer. Her family requested medical parole, but it was denied because she refused “transformation.” In August 2025, she fell into a coma.
She remained denied medical parole until the very end.
On September 12, 2025, Li Qiaolian died unjustly at age 70.
II. Recent Cases of Torture, Abuse, and Forced Drug Injections
(3) Wang Wei, a 68-year-old practitioner in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, was arrested in July 2024 and sentenced to four years in December 2024. After being taken to Liaoning Women’s Prison in September 2025, her daughter was initially denied visitation.
On October 10, 2025, when her daughter finally saw her, she was devastated:
Wang Wei had become skin and bones, hunched, her bones protruding, her hair completely white, and her face aged and wrinkled. She cried silently and appeared terrified, saying, “Don’t look for me anymore. Don’t worry about me.”
Insiders revealed that prison authorities had planned a full “transformation” campaign against her even before she arrived.
(4) Fan Wenfang, a former obstetrician from Anhui Province, has spent a total of 20 years in labor camps and prisons for practicing Falun Gong and has endured dozens of torture methods.
In July 2022, she was again arrested and later sentenced to five years. In 2024, inmates violently beat her for refusing to “confess” or recite prison rules. They stuffed a dirty floor rag in her mouth, split her lips, punched and kicked her, dragged her across the floor, injuring her hips and heels, and left her mouth toothless. She could not stand straight and survived on liquid food.
In November 2025, reports came that guards injected her with unknown drugs, leaving her mentally unresponsive. The main perpetrator was guard Wei Cai of the 11th prison ward.
(5) In Jiangxi Women’s Prison, Falun Gong practitioners Zhu Lanhui and Cheng Laihua were subjected to “cross-shaped handcuffing.”
Zhu was handcuffed to a window for more than ten days for refusing “transformation.” When Cheng protested with a hunger strike, she too was handcuffed in a cross position, even while sleeping, causing her to soil herself. Cheng said guards used sleep deprivation and torture to force “transformation.”
(6) Falun Gong practitioners Pan Xiuhua and Luo Chuanmei from Urumqi, Xinjiang, were abducted in March 2025 for telling people the truth. By November 2025, both had been tortured until they could no longer walk and required wheelchairs. Authorities threatened to sentence them to over three years.
III. Recent Group Sentencings of Falun Gong Practitioners
(7) Ten practitioners from Changde City, Hunan Province—Wang Xiaoqun and others—were sentenced on November 12, 2025, after nearly two years of detention following a mass arrest of 30–40 practitioners in November 2023. Sentences ranged from 1 to 5 years with fines of 1,500 to 8,000 yuan.
(8) Six practitioners from Hebei Province and Dezhou City, Shandong Province, were sentenced in November 2025 after being arrested in June 2024. Sentences were:
-
Li Zhenying: 4 years
-
Cheng Guijun, Yu Yongli: 3 years
-
Zhang Wenping: 2 years
-
Men Bingcheng: 1.5 years
-
Song Guifen: 1 year
(All fined 3,000–10,000 yuan)
Police admitted they had monitored them since February 2024 with tracking and surveillance.
Elderly practitioners also suffer economic persecution, as pensions are confiscated after imprisonment.
IV. Recent Group Arrests
(9) On September 29, 2025, the Jinan City Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the “610 Office” directed police to arrest nearly 40 practitioners based on “blacklists.” They had been long-term targets of illegal surveillance.
(10) Around the CCP’s “September 3 Military Parade,” at least 43 practitioners in Shenyang were abducted. Many were elderly—five over 70 and two over 80. Police wore no uniforms, showed no IDs, and conducted raids and abductions like criminal gangs. Others were threatened to give blood samples.
V. Cases of Arrests and Sentencing for Reading Falun Gong Books
(11) Fu Hong, a practitioner in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, was stopped at the train station on November 20, 2024, for carrying Falun Gong books. Police forcibly entered her home without a warrant and seized cash and Falun Gong portraits. In November 2025, she was sentenced to five years.
(12) In Maoming City, Guangdong Province, three female practitioners—Li Guoyuan, Qu Fen, and Xie Liping—were sentenced on August 29, 2025, simply for studying Zhuan Falun together.
-
Li Guoyuan: 4 years, 40,000-yuan fine
-
Qu Fen: 2 years 8 months, 8,000-yuan fine
-
Xie Liping: 2 years 6 months, 8,000-yuan fine
The defense argued that possessing Falun Gong books is not a crime, and noted that China’s 2011 Order No. 50 officially lifted the ban on Falun Gong publications.
VI. Recent Case of a Student Expelled
(13) Hou Tianran, a high-school girl at Chengdu Railway Health School, was expelled on September 18, 2025, because she told classmates about her grandfather’s persecution for practicing Falun Gong. Her teacher tricked her into sending an electronic copy of Zhuan Falun, then reported her. The school forced her to withdraw, and later demanded she “register” at a police station before returning. Police refused and insisted she be expelled. She has still not been allowed back.
Conclusion
Falun Gong is a Buddhist-school spiritual practice based on Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. It improves moral character and health, elevating practitioners’ minds and bodies. It is practiced and appreciated in more than 100 countries. Believing in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is not a crime; practicing Falun Gong is not a crime.
Communism, founded on violence and struggle, has killed more people worldwide than the two World Wars combined. The CCP’s live organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners is a monstrous crime against humanity. Historically, wherever communism spreads, it brings slaughter, brainwashing, hatred, famine, and terror.
The CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong is part of communism’s global threat to humanity.
History shows that regimes that trample human rights never have good endings. The once-powerful Soviet Union collapsed overnight. Today, the CCP is also in its final stage, beset by crises and losing public support.
For Chinese people, recognizing the CCP’s evil nature and withdrawing from the Party, Youth League, and Young Pioneers is a path to avoid being eliminated. For the world, jointly condemning the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong and removing its infiltration and corruption is necessary to end the greatest human rights disaster of the 21st century and to dismantle the evil of communism.(Reprinted from Minghui.org) △
